Just checked the prices on comc for P2020. There is definitely value in these cards, but I am shocked at some of the prices. Buyer's market on most of these for sure, probably a lot of cyber monday sales but wow.

Well said, and it's just a few people that like to bash a couple of the artists. I really like Don C because I never know what to expect from him, and Oldmanalan has gotten better and better throughout the set. I don't think any of the artists in the set are a let down.

I did this the other day too.... and also just watched like 20 PWCCs 5-card lots go for similar per-card prices.... but you forgot one! There are dozens of shore griffeys available for $2.35! I spent more time than I can admit considering adding one to my inventory, but then decided against it.

Regarding the trolls and all-out bashers, just remember the posts reflect more poorly on the troll than on the artist they are bashing. I am all about some amount of negativity around the set's worst cards, sometimes those days are fun.... but the comments that Shore or Fucci are not artists, for example, don't reflect well on the posters. OMA has some nice cards and some stinkers, but overall if you want re-imagined originals, we should all agree (love the cards or hate them) he missed that mark completely.... and so on with some of the other artists.

For me the same goes for the constant arguments over the long-term value of these cards. Fact is, the per-unit value is being diluted every day, some cards will hold value above MSRP, but most will not ever sell on secondary market for original purchase price. Too many cards, too many flippers/hoarders in 2020 overall, too much product, too big a set, etc., for individual cards or entire sets to be worth much. While I like the set and will continue to pick up cards at MSRP (hoping for gold, foil, etc), many people in the hobby hate the set and won't change their minds. Would be happy to eat my words here, but there are A LOT of P2020 cards and only a sliver within a sliver of the card collecting world wants to own them long-term.

I believe there is value in a lot of these cards, certain players/artists. Right now very caught up in the early cards vs. bubble vs. post bubble, which is true because you can clearly see the flippers in the market (most have left). But when under 2% of the print runs on some cards are posted for sale its a great sign in their long term value.

A lot of sellers/flippers that failed just sell and follow the sheep/sellers ahead of them to get out quick. That is where you can find value in some of the post bubble cards.

Some flippers will jump back in on the chance at Foil cards, but that will be dependent on their sales here in the next few weeks. Another mini bubble perhaps?
