I am collecting 3 artist sets TBP. I've said it for a while....OMA, Efdot, and Natty. I love all 3 sets. I know you agree on 2 of them. Lol.

They sold out very quickly, and yes...58 of each.

I didn't realize the companion card market had gotten that bad.

I think the way an artist approaches making companion cards can also have a huge effect...

If the companion does not have a counterpart and just stands alone, it's more likely to get stale, and not appeal to baseball fans/collectors in the long term.

For example, I considered making my cards as a set of abstract "Blob Cards" or "Baseball Blobs" that were not tied to the player cards. They would probably have a decent collector base, but not as sustainable and interesting as a true companion card to the P2020 release.

It's the difference between a dog card and an "Ichiro and his dog" card... I have a lot of respect for Naturel and what he does, but I think this may have contributed to the prices going down.

It’s not even my favorite in the series: that’s the surreal Fenway Park card.

I think you are right.

The Naturel, Thiele and Beck cards lack appeal to me for exactly that reason.

They are nice cards and I don't mean to shade the artists - just my take on 'companion' cards.

When we negotiated the deal for the new set, being able to reserve 3 A/P's of each card (if I want them) was part of the contract.

Also a work-around for you is you can just have 2 Topps accounts with separate emails, right?

Looks like most of Ermsy's companion cards are sold out now, and he only has one print type left.

I am SO looking forward to displaying complete sets of his companion cards along with the other artists' offerings. Efdot's will look amazing as well. I'm half-tempted to go in and buy the rest of his autographed Ichiro companions. People will regret missing out on those, in my honest opinion.

What do you think your highest and lowest PR stadium card will be? Number?
Siff Dodgers 755, don't think yours will get that low, maybe 2K.
Cartoon Dodgers 6800, Maybe the Yankee will get 5K.
The chase for the foil is the wild card.

I agree, I think they will all fall in the 1500-2500 range, with Yankee Stadium or Wrigley Field at the top. Just spitballing though. Might be way off.

Also on the foil cards, I absolutely loved the process... I was able to choose exactly which areas of the card get foil base under the ink, and which parts get white ink.

Made some difficult choices about what areas of the card should POP on those foil versions.
