Yep that’s how it works. The other 1.4 Trask gets but it’s essentially off the nfl books

Sounds like it will be Seattle. He goes home to finish his career

You think more teams would try that

Nice that they got a better qb. If only slightly. They won’t settle for the worst

Lots of teams do it - Trask is just a QB name that people know

Packers did it with AJ Dillon last season. Chiefs did it with Nick Allegretti

It happens all the time people just don't care because A) not a big name and B) the savings usually aren't that significant in the grand scheme of things

Purdy gets traded, SF signs Aaron Rodgers on the cheap washed up QB contract to mentor Mac Jones for a season or two, meanwhile the 49ers have gotten cheaper, and younger. Rodgers loves it being from the bay area, and all is well in 49ers land.
This is what I am envisioning. Probably won't happen, but.....
Any team that would consider letting Purdy go to get in on some 50 yr old Aaron Rodgers/Mac Jones action has serious issues with their judgement.

No one is trading for Purdy

Did you just get bored and figure it was time to post?

You are foolish if you don't think some teams would take Purdy as their #1 QB no questions asked if they could figure a way to do it.

You can’t be serious with the post

Lots of teams would like lots of QB’s if they could figure out a way to do it

You’ve gotten better. Don’t post this garbage

Why is a deal that is going on for a QB who's already under contract, taking so long? Especially, after the GM said that they hoped they would get a deal done soon. Why did the 49ers sign a guy to backup Purdy, at more money than Purdy is making?

Again, if you don't think SF is considering ALL of their options, and you don't think that some team(s) has at least inquired about getting Purdy, then I just can't take you seriously.

The odds are against it, but I guarantee you, ALL OPTIONS are being explored.
If they unquestionably wanted this deal done and to lock Purdy up and move on to signing other playmakers around him, they could have done that by now. Think about that.

TLDR

They are going to sign Purdy to a gross contract he shouldn’t get

Relax

QB controversy in KC, they just signed Minshew.
How did that scrub still have guaranteed money coming from Vegas?

Slap in the face to RW, Wilson on his way to see the Giants, Flacco just left the building after his meeting, LOL

See, I keep hearing the Chargers are the team he goes and signs with. I don't see them doing it, though. Seattle makes a lot of sense if the price isn't too high.

Chico, CA is not even remotely the Bay Area.

Bears sign Zaccheaus to a one year deal. I guess that's truly the end of Allen in Chicago.

I know exactly where it is, I have a friend that lives there. Its like 150 miles away, but Isn't that the closest football market for Rodgers? Didn't he grow up a 49er fan??

Yes, those are both true statements.

Latest reports are Seahawks, Pats, Broncos, Jags and Saints have interest. He's reportedly asking for $16 million per year

I don't want any part of Kupp in Denver unless he's dirt cheap. Truth is, they don't need him. He'd just be depth. He's not better than Mims or Sutton at this point. Maybe he alternates time with Vele, or Franklin at best

For 16 mill, keep on walking

Somebody rolling the dice on Hendon Hooker in a trade?
Lions just signed Kyle Allen.
Hooker was once upon a time slated to be a 1st rd pick before getting hurt.
Either he is really not developing for the Lions, or he's about to be traded

You could be right, but everyone needs a 3rd stringer and the Lions save a mil by cutting Jake Fromm before 1 June.
