The team 3 years ago had Keldon Johnson and Javale Mcgee.

Jerami Grant too . Also likely that most of the other alternates werent available or willing with only a couple weeks left until the Olympic games.

I would have replaced Kawhi with someone similarly physical, a Nesmith. But maybe they are shaky on Haliburton's health as well and want someone who can egolessly organize players and facilitate PG.

Did anyone watch the game with the college squad or whatever that almost just beat Team USA?

Man the Clippers are in a lot of trouble if Kawhi can't get them a decent seed in the Playoffs.

Always will love Kawhi for getting Toronto a ring. Odds are they will never get another. That said, the 3 yr extension is already looking terrible. Was 45 games a year worth it to be a non contender opening a new barn?

But actually, what I said about Team USA needing a Nesmith (but a D Why might work), has to do with the level of physicality that he brings. After all he mentored Nembhard, and their wall led the Pacers to ECF.
