Yes, super tough. Each of the Target and Walmart parallels is numbered to 10, so very short print run. And only available in packs at Target and Walmart.

On ebay, i've seen 3 of the Target parallels show up since 2016. 2 had on-card autos, and 1 had a sticker that was poorly placed. I've seen 1 Walmart parallel, and only after it sold. This was a sticker parallel. I had pretty much given up hope of adding to my PC.

Then last year, I got lucky by seeing one Walmart parallel (sticker) at a dealer's table on the final day of the 2022 NSCC, and I paid way above wanted as I figured I'd never see it again. It was already graded.

Still...I wanted the Target parallel with the on-card. the only other one I had seen graded a BGS 10/10. Got lucky this Spring when one came up for auction and doubled down on my max bid.

it worked out! definitely two of my faves...

what makes them particularly cool is there are no parallel version (gold, orange, red, etc.), just 10 autos of each photo.

the other players in the set also rarely show up (Schwarber, Nola, Urias, Snell, Conforto, etc.)

Great rare cards, I had the walmart snell auto at one point.
It musta been so satisfying to see it for sale at the National after actively searching extensively for awhile.

there is a board member, ngs428 who hooked me up with a great scanning guide and i've improved alot of my scans in the last two years

You don't even know! i'm sure we've all had that feeling with some of our grails.

i'm still looking for the 2016 Topps Chrome supers, but outside of those, these were the ones i had been looking for the most

I’ve cycled through quite a few nice Seager rookies and BCA’s. I can never hang on to them, though, because his injury issues scare me into not wanting to be caught holding a bag.

But I still need a decent rookie of his. So, I’m going with the TC black refractor. It’s classy, relatively rare (I’m assuming around the print run of the purple?), and not too expensive.

These black refractors seem to be really underrated. 2016 just needs a “hobby good” player to get people excited about them. (At this point, Seager is probably the only hope for that.)

This is only the third one I've seen unless it was the one on eBay a few years ago that went to auction and mentioned in the thread. Such a great card.
