I think it's cool to talk about Ohtani versus Ichiro, but it was brought up as a complete troll subject if you scroll up. Creating an opening for a troll is less productive than moving to a new subject. I love both guys

Maybe not hitting like one but he's been one of the best pitchers in the majors, and his main competition has also been slumping. He's got 40 HRs, 20 SB, and he's 8-1 with a 3.0 ERA. I think he's doing alright.

I think this really supports the theory that he’s fatigued.

Classic example of the pricing of expectations. A month ago, Ohtani was already locked into the MVP and annointed as having one of the greatest seasons ever. I said around the All-Star break, how can prices actually go up from here if there's nothing left to achieve beyond what's already expected? Late season malaise in there too, but I think at this point it's just silly to buy anything until December. The big exception would be if it's a rare card that you want that might not come up in the offseason. But, I still think any non-base Ohtani stuff will be higher 1 year from now than right now, it's just a question of if you want to buy it cheaper in the near future

Too too cheap. Would not be selling right now, or any time this year. Rare is a hold (and buy if you pick your spots)

I am going to make a note of that All-Star run-up...that was mania and when his Bowman Chrome went to $2200. I felt like I sold 6 weeks too late with the last four weeks being very, very generic on the stat line, which did not help.

Just added the one of the biggest Ohtani RC's to my collection. It's HUGE.

Boxtopper huge!

Wanted to add something different that I normally don't go for and something about the image and the photography style used really caught my attention. Hoping I can get an IP auto on it someday.

yeah, the selling window is behind us. I'm only offloading base lots and raw cards I randomly find in boxes. Gotta wait now unless you get an antsy buyer knocking at your door for rare.
