It is amazing these candidates can just lie to the American people and we still go out and enthusiastically support them.

He said he would release the tax forms and 2 years later when he is running for office does not come through....something he has complete control over.

We know the story with Hillary.

People....vote 3rd party!!!

I will consider it as I run down to Kroger as I am fresh out of Aleppo and milk.

The mainstream media must know that a third party would doom Hillary so they are doing everything in their power to keep Gary Johnson an unknown. Fox News must not be entirely sure that Trump would not be impacted so they have him on ignore too.

**Nearly** evened up

This appears a little later in the article:

"The national Sept. 9-15 tracking poll showed that 42 percent of likely voters supported Clinton while 38 percent backed Trump. Clinton, who has mostly led Trump in the poll since the Democratic and Republican national conventions ended in July, regained the advantage this week after her lead briefly faded in late August.

Clinton has an advantage among minorities, women, people who make more than $75,000 a year, and those with moderate political leanings. Trump has an advantage with whites, men, avid churchgoers, and people who are nearing retirement age."

I'm amazed at how many "educated" people have bought into the 2 party lie. Neither democrats or republicans care one bit about their supporters. It's a joke, and I don't get how people are continually fooled by the fools.

It's largely driven by ignorance, apathy, and money.

What is the protocol regarding multiple consecutive posts? I didn't even realise NoleinJax was on temporary vacation until now and, while I found his 7 or 8 consecutive posts a trifle annoying, and I disagreed vehemently with the content, I wasn't aware that his actions would be enough to warrant a suspension. Having stumbled upon a certain other thread, I'm puzzled why it seems to be permissible in some threads but not in others. I'm not saying I understood this to be an 'anything goes' section of the forum - indeed I've seen members (well, at least one) banned for stuff they've posted in off-topic - but I don't get why one can fall foul of the mods for apparent 'post count padding' but another doesn't.

(Having just been in member feedback, I understand we should name and shame in call out threads/posts. That's not my intention though. Genuinely curious)

Couldn't have said it better. It's all about keeping your respective party in power no matter the cost. No one actually cares about helping anyone but themselves.

I get money drives everything. What I don't get is how people are fooled by it. I'm talking about friends of mine that completed a doctorate program and have the ability to critically think, but they still think elected officials support them and their ideas of government...

Correct. It's a business to these people. Why anyone thinks more rules/laws/protocols/etc will somehow improve ANYTHING. Yet, people still vote for these self indulgent crooked colostomy appliances.

Both Trump and Hillary are the quintessence of this. Hillary wants to further her empire, and Trump wants to do the same.

Best thing to do is pm a mod for clarification.

I agree, and keep in mind while voting the majority of both of those parties hate Trump. They can't tame him and are threatened that they don't own him.

If a third party put up a candidate worth a crap I would give serious thought to vote for them.
In my opinion, that hasn't happened yet.

It really is unbelievable. The two main candidates for President if the United States are complete jokes. This election is embarrassing.

The last President to challenge America to be better and sacrifice for the future was Carter, and our modern political culture gives him the cold shoulder for trivial reasons like boycotting the Olympics. Reagan was a Cheerleader-in-Chief, and the nation hasn't been willing to hire and support a Commander since.

I don't disagree, lesser of two evils.
I'm not convinced my third party vote would just be a wasted vote.
And yea, I know, I'm continuing the cycle.

Is it only wrong if it's BLM supporters who are violent?

A black man was thrown out of a Trump rally in Birmingham, AL, and punched and kicked by Trump supporters.

The anti-Muslim rhetoric drummed up by Trump has erupted in violence towards innocent Muslim (and non-Muslim) middle Eastern American citizens.

There is hate from both sides; don't portray it like there isn't.

So the Trump supporters who were hit and spit on from the CLINTON supporters never happened? BLM is no movement at all. Why? It's very simple. Validity ends when violence begins. True colors are shown through violence. They don't want change, as indicated by their looting and violent outbursts. Say what u will, but when government officials wanted to meet to speak about change, BLM declined, showing they're not serious about change. If they wanted change why not discuss these inner cities where violent crimes are astronomical. Black on black violence is decimating young black youth. Schools are failing these same crime ridden areas, jobless rate all-time high, welfare increased under the first black president. Why isn't that discussed? Maybe that's not the change they want. Just a few thoughts.

I think you are insulting colostomy appliances. This comes from someone who has one. Now if you were to have said they were "self indulgent crooked stoma refuse", then we would have been on the same page.

Going back to some of the things that have been said in the last couple of days, I pose this real-world scenario to those on all sides of the debate. I am on disability (fully vested) and will be for the rest of my life due to several significant internal problems. I work 20-25 hours per week in an office to help make ends meet. I recently moved and had to have my parents cosign on my rent since I am only allowed to gross about $1100 per month at most (most months I am not close to that). Most apartment complexes in this area require 3 times the rent as income. Even if I maxed out on my income, 3 times the rent would put me in this areas version of Cabrini Green (or pick your own less than stellar neighborhood). I wish I could go back to teaching, but cannot. The cost of my medications alone is over $10,000 per month.

Sorry for the long set up, but the question is, what is someone in my situation supposed to do (I am in a small 1-bedroom so a roommate is not viable)? According to some posts I have seen here I should be dead already as I could not afford the medical costs required to survive.

I am extremely frustrated with the wannabe disabled and other such moochers. It took 3 years to get a hearing in front of a judge (at the time, in any other state it would have been less than a year) who took one look at my case and said the people who denied me were idiots. The time was because of the backlog of cases (remember that this can only happen in Florida). There were likely many people in front of me who had their cases dismissed and other who should have had them dismissed.

Sorry for the long post/rant, but there it is.
