Some of the secondary market retail I bought last week is starting to trickle in this week. I don’t want to open too much at once, so today I opened 3 cellos and 2 hangers. All 3 cellos had a silver RC (PJ Washington, Terance Mann, Naz Reid). Nothing else huge other than that in the cellos. Hangers were REALLY BAD - not a single color RC, all 8 purple discos were crap vets, 2 silver vets, 1 scope vet, and 1 green vet. Finally, I did see that the second hanger had a backwards card in it. Held it until the end and pulled a Silver Magic Johnson auto. One of the better autos I’ve ever hit out of retail and my first Magic auto.

Look no further than the fanatics silver waves blueprint to see where things are going. There was a sharp dip in singles prices in the beginning. Then a leveling off...and then slow uptick as the saturation of singles began to diminish.



Give it tiempo.

By that token the green waves with a much smaller print run don't sell that well. Regardless of estimated print run people don't care. Not sure if Pulsar singles will do any better long term.

Let's face it. The green waves are ugly. Aside from the jersey matching Celtics players, they just don't go well with many teams. Green prizms have never sold well.


I'd be sticking to the gold/black/jersey theme pulsars if I were pursuing them. That said, the print run for the pulsar parallels is far, far less than the green waves (est. 1000 each) because the gw's were a rookie checklist only chase. Almost apples to oranges. People are simply unaware of the scarcity.

Just when I think I’m done buying, I picked up 6 more hangers at $36 per and 4 more blasters at $56 per. Definitely some good deals at StockX. Flippers are driving the prices down. I definitely paid more than this when I ordered some last week. I can’t imagine hangers getting any cheaper (these are under 2x if the buyer paid $17.98 + tax, which was Walmart’s online price), but blasters may still have a little bit of room to drop.

Nice. I havent bought any on the secondary market but whats a good price for the 80 ct Megas? Might try to snag a few. I feel like right now is probably about as good a time as any, based on how much retail has been disseminated at this point

I haven’t found any megas selling for under $160. That’s over 3x SRP and still too rich for my blood. I’d love to see them get down to $125-$130, but I don’t know if that’s ever happening.

I’m waiting for the same thing to happen. If they don’t get closer to 2xSRP, I’ll sit this one out. I think we could see prices trend down in the next few weeks, but I could be completely wrong! We’ll see.

As you mentioned, hangers are definitely in buy territory.

Yeah it’s definitely not a good investment and I’m absolutely not buying at current prices, I was just saying that’s where they are selling right now. I got enough Target megas at SRP, but I’d buy a WM mega if they drop to the $125-$130 range.

I was just poking around and there’s a seller that has PSA 10s of just about every top rookie from the box set, and when you click on the qty it says 12+. How many sets did this dude have to open to get that many gems of every rookie?

there are too many buyers out there for prices to go much lower than $150. everybody regrets not buying up mosaic megas at $120 and won’t let prices get that low again.

I wonder if he bought raw singles or actually opened sets. I was looking at the Ja pulsars and he has 14 PSA 10s and 13 9s. If opening, prob close to 30?

This makes me feel better for passing on $147 per, granted mine was not that big of a lot. Even if seller bought at Walmart, they’re paying $55, 2.5x is $137.5, needs to be closer to $130 to really make me want to buy them.

With fees it was a little closer to $38 per, which is still pretty good. Any hangers under $40 are a good buy IMO. I can’t imagine the seller made much on these, because I know sellers fees can be pretty high sometimes.

unless he lives in some rural area there’s really no reason to sell on stockx and eat fees and shipping (imbedded in fees) when you can sell on offerup and get pretty much the same gross/better net. glad you found a deal though!
