I'm sorry SGC sucks now guys, it's because I got into card collecting and sent them stuff.

33 card order should be delivered today, at least this order didn't go to Guam... I will hopefully reveal my cards in 3 months. Thanks Collectors Universe!

I am fine with delays due to demand or other reasons that cannot be controlled, but don't tell customers:

"For the sake of transparency, I do want to let you know that your order will likely be completed a few days behind schedule, however, I can confirm that any delay that may take place will be a matter of only a few days rather than a few weeks."

From all the info I can gather, the delays have always been weeks. What is the point of saying the delay will be "only a few days" when they knew for certain that was never the case.
SGC received mine on 1/8 and still sitting on received, I sent them an email but not sure they will even answer.

Well this is disheartening as someone with a 1/15 received date.

Still no updates since going into "Post-Grading Processing" on 3/7.

They did not generate a new folder in the "Seller Ready" images yet either.

It is only a 6-card submission. One is an over-sized card that I paid the $50 service fee for. Maybe the over-sized card is causing more of a delay?

I have another SGC order "received" on 3-11. Looks like I submit a small 10-20 card order once once a month or so on average to SGC:

All are still just in the "received" stage.

Here's me when a reporter asked how I felt about SGC and I replied, "I love SGC!" at first:

It is such a shame what SGC is reduced to now. I hope all the remaining Beckett fans are paying attention.

Guam? lol

Do you do Live Reveals? At this point in time, with grading, I look forward to other people sharing their disappointing experience with grading.

It really is a shame to what this has become, entirely due to Collectors Universe. I have at least 100 cards I'd love to send to PSA and another 50 or so to SGC, but I refuse to endure the process. I just got my first GameStop order back (as I posted in that forum) and it was grossly disappointing.

I had a SGC order that went missing for two weeks and I got an update it arrived in Guam. Guess it got mixed up in San Francisco and got put on a boat.

I will use SGC to finish my 1952 hand cut Wheaties project with full blue borders. That is about it for them. I will use CGC when I get back my last COMC order.

The hobby is not as fun for me with turnaround with grading and COMC changes. Just enjoying what I have at this point and selling cards to buy bigger ones.

I recently started using CGC, instead of SGC (after years). I love the product, and the turn around time. Unfortunately, they just announced that they doubled their turn around time and are increasing their prices. It's unfortunate because I've subbed 4 times since late December and have another 4 their right now. Hoping they can gain more traction with $$ and TAT, because it will stunt their recent momentum if they dont.

That's crazy, Guam! I'm glad it got sorted out.

I can see using them for a handcut set, I think most of those are lower grade due to that, but I could be wrong. Do they hammer them on grading nowadays?

My All-American Football set is notoriously tough for centering (with the design they have). So PSA and SGC were always tough on them BEFORE.. I can only imagine how tough they would be now.

I'd even like to reslab some SGC cards but it costs the same to reslab as it does to grade.. crazy to me.

Always loved those Wheatie's cards, especially the Walker and Graham.

It seems like it is 50+ Business Days for submissions now.

I have a submission marked received on 1/5, graded on 3/7, that is still not completed / shipped.

Anyone else experiencing long delays in "Post-Grading Processing" status?

Geez, sent on 12/26, received on 1/8. Emailed them on 3/15, response
On 3/17;

“Based on our team's current progress with the submission, the order update will take approximately 1-2 business days. And again, once the order does update and reflect as entering post-grading, I can assure you that the order will move quickly and be completed within a few days of it reaching the post-grading stage.”

Still on “received” today!!

Default 8 Card Order, Sent to SGC Jan 12, 2026 - Delivered Jan 16, 2026...Still Waiting...

My 8 card order was sent Jan 12, 2026 and delivered to SGC Jan 16, 2026. SGC entered the order on Jan 23, 2026 (a week later). I am still waiting in "Received" status as of today, Mar 23, 2026, 2 months later. It should be noted that at the time of my order, turnaround times were still 10-15 days, or 15-20, or whatever. (In other words, they had not been pushed out yet.) Probably my last sub to SGC, even though I like using them for pre-war vintage. My PSA Value Plus order sent in the same time period, actually a little bit later, has been returned already and cards are sold.

That's exactly how I felt with my last order. If I can see some posts about them trimming their current TAT I might consider more orders, but it would need to be pretty consistent.

My SGC order from that was "received" by them on 01-15-26 just had the grades pop. As others have said, this was listed as "15-20 estimated business days" when I placed my order.
It took forever, (still much faster than PSA) but luckily this order had grades more in line with the SGC I'm used to. Solid grades and not overly strict like my last order, so that's a good sign.

These are all PC cards and here are some standouts:

I love the old vintage Raiders card before they were even the silver/black. They had white/gold numbers back then. That's a tough card to get in a higher grade so I'm really happy with it.

Love the 81-82 basketball set. It is always a soft spot with me. The branch auto is pretty cool as well. Oh of course, the smaller Kelloggs cards look great in an SGC holder.

Ok, here's a funny one. Or maybe it's wrong? This was just a fun PC project I did earlier today.

Last weekend I picked up this raw card at a card show for $30:

It's PSA/DNA authenticated with a PSA/DNA sticker on the back, and the PSA certificate card included in the penny sleeve. Since this is an in-person auto, SGC won't grade it, and honestly, it's makes no sense to grade a card like this.

BUT, I have nearly all of my "tall-boys" in SGC slabs, and it would be great if this was in an SGC slab.

So I picked up a "sacrificial slab" for cheap. In this case, a 1965 Topps Jerry Mays with an old SGC label:

I then just designed my own SGC label, delicately cracked out the Jerry Mays card, and inserted the Jim Otto.

IMPORTANT: This is just for my PC, and I'm doing this just for my own PC holder/presentation. I won't be making these for anyone because I don't want to contribute to someone possibly making counterfeits, and I'm just re-assembling this with thin blue painters tape on the sides, because again, I just want the holder/presentation and I can pop it out at any time to out in a penny sleeve if I change my mind. Looks like this:

Hopefully the cert number itself is a big enough giveaway that this is just for my PC.
I was a tough grader on this one and graded it the card itself a 5. LOL Probably should have graded it a 6, but I was having a bad day...Auto got a 10 grade though! It looks nice next to my legit SGC graded card, also in an SGC 5:

Just thought I'd pass this fun PC project along. I guess if SGC goes out of business, my PC will still have the option for "new" SGC slabs.

That is a cool Jim Otto auto. I like what you have done to create the slab for your collection.

At exactly 50 business days (on 15-20 day order) my cards went into post grading. Still no grades yet, maybe Monday.

Anybody have any shipments show up lately it looks like a ghost town here on SGC and I have a couple that are already past the due date....One that was supposed to be the 15-20 day range. Does not look like many of the subs are coming back lately at all.
