Feels that way, but a bad idea. You can stuff it with partisans and make the process even worse.

Keep it on the state level but fix it. Florida has shown it can be done, let's work to do it. What we have goin' on right now can never ever ever happen again.

Have to wait for them to count first! Will be days before they're finished they said.

And 269-269; Trump wins. The election kicks back to the State houses of all 50 states, and each state casts a vote. Based on the results of the election, there will be 27 State Republican Houses and 23 State Democratic Houses. So the votes will go to Trump.

(They pick the VP the same way, but with Senate Houses, and those too are Republican majority in the US).

Correct. It's a guessing game. When you search the map, you'll find states where you think there's still 4% - 7% of the vote out ... but they're 100% counted. The modeling is imperfect. For example, Philly just dumped 20k votes and the model changed from 70% in to 81% in. Amazing shift in Trump's direction because they expect a lot fewer votes in Philly now than before.

There is no real number. They just keep adding until the Secretary of State says they're done.

That would be absolutely chaos. The fact that not all states (some do) don’t have laws in place to prevent this from a couple narcissists that think what they think is more important than the whole state, is bad

No matter who wins, we all need to root for a Bare minimum of 280 to help protect against this. 275 is probably fine but let’s be safe with 280
