I am upset with my husband. I know, nothing new.

His mom called me Saturday morning very upset that she was going to miss Thanksgiving dinner because she has to drive to Maine for a funeral. I guess she was going to drive up on Wednesday but none of her family invited her to Thanksgiving with them despite some major hints being dropped. I offered to host a breakfast at my house so she can come over and spend time with us. I am making butter milk pancakes. Last night, his dad asked if we could have real maple syrup for the breakfast. I asked my husband to please pick it up because I have no time due to working all 3 days, prepping the house for this breakfast (the dining room is the middle of being re-done and my mom and I were going to finish it up on Friday) but had to push everything forward. I ended up sanding and adding a second coat of wall filler last night. He told me I was rude for asking him to pick up the syrup because he is so busy this week at work. Then, he had the balls to tell me I shouldn't have planned Thursday. I want to cancel it and sleep in and not worry about cooking that day.

you are more than likely the leader in that department now

I have the Government contracting representative telling me at 7:35 to get 3 new people in here to have their security read-ins at 9AM. These people are not our employees yet (weren't scheduled to be read-in until next Monday) and all 3 are unemployed right now, so what are the odds of getting ahold of them that early in the morning and having them get here in less than an hour and a half. Not to mention, no one in HR or recruiting gets into work until 9AM to enable them to be added as employees.

Slim to none! Good luck. I hope it all works out. Heck, they may all be away for the week due to Thanksgiving. I think that person gave you a very unrealistic request. Could you tell them to shove it?
