And yeah, probably not a coincidence but it's not exactly uncommon either for pitchers to lose focus in that weather. He just flat out threw the ball right over the plate for those three homers. I hope he gets it together with the bat soon so we can get one more good run in. Time's running out.

Anyone know what the deal is with the 2018 Topps Holiday Metallic Snowflakes? They have a print run of 2,900, which is pretty much SP, but they're selling for the same amount as the Holiday base, which has a print run of 58k (still pretty damn low for a base card, especially a RC).

Both cards seem to be going for $220-$250 in PSA 10. I can't figure it out.

I don't really get that either. I paid $130 for the base holiday in an SGC 10 and then 2 weeks later got the metallic snowflake in a SGC 10 for $120. Shrug.

First off - I'm a sucker for the Topps Holiday sets and the metallic parallels.

The metallic should be going for a healthy premium over the base. I'd think the base PSA 10 is overvalued by maybe $100 and the metallic PSA 10 is undervalued by $200 or so. Acuna metallics were going for $500-600 at the height of his popularity IIRC. Seems like Ohtani should be somewhat similar.

There's no reason to use any Ohtani base PSA 10 pricing as gauge of anything right now. It's like when Shane Bieber PSA 10s were $170 earlier last season, only because the pop was tiny. But very few care about Holiday and I don't think they ever will. Acuna's Holiday Metallics are similarly low priced, despite his holiday card having the bat down image. The card looking identical except for the light sparkle doesn't help either. If an Acuna bat down can't force a market acceptance of Metallics, I doubt anything will. That said, I have 4 or 5 Metallics that I bought for under $15 this season
