The Warriors are 1-7 in the games Curry has missed through injury.

If the definition of the MVP is the player most valuable to his team, Curry has to be in the conversation along with Giannis, Doncic, & Jokic.

The roster is essentially the same, after canceling out the additions with the losses/injuries, with the only real difference being that Curry isn't out for the year and he's 1 year older. Without Curry, they would've performed exactly as they did last year.

Dubs are currently 29-29 but we should note that they went 1-7 in the 8 games that Curry missed so they're 28-22 when Curry played in the game.

Jokic and Embiid are balling, as are some other players in the MVP conversation. One thing I'll say is that the 76ers are 9-9 in the 18 games that Embiid missed this season. Jokic's true test starts now without Murray's presence. I'm really interested to see what happens with the Nuggets.

Regardless of whether or not Curry wins MVP this season, he's been balling and keeping the Dubs "relevant" (even if they make the playoffs, they won't go deep into it). As a Warriors and NBA fan, that's really all you can ask for.

They are still irrelevant.

Suns were the worst team for years now they are at the top with cp3.

The rosters aren't that much different in skill.

Quite certain health aside, this is 100% over. Media will do their thing (which is silly) but it's over.

When you look at Jokic's season, it's remarkable how consistent he has been throughout. It's also quite boring for many because every few weeks, you get these amazing hot streaks from player A,B,C where they immediately get thrown into the MVP frontrunner spot, only to be displaced by injury or poor play. Jokic just strolls right along ...

Yeah... it’s over. Jokic would have to get injured in the next couple of games and miss the rest of the regular season, which is unlikely because he never misses more than a few games a season. The chances of Embiid or anyone else winning were predicated on Jokic and the Nuggets dropping off. He just put up like 45/15/8... still pwning hard.

Jokic is MVP and there really isn't an argument. The big stat against Jokic is wins and Embiid might be in first place but he only has 30 wins to Jokic's 37.

Add in that Denver are 2 games back of Philly overall. Is someone really voting Embiid because he has the better record. Surely not.

The shooting splits for Jokic are crazy also.

They play GS in 2 games time which should be a lot of fun.

He should probably be the unanimous MVP.

I still wonder how serious their injuries arenor if they just don't want to play until the playoffs. I don't get why there are so many injuries going on that linger for weeks/months.

Good call, and good reason to question. Very well could be a load management mirage. NBA product is suffering for sure in 2021.

Agreed. If it wasn’t for Steph going nuclear and Zion doing Zion things, I wouldn’t be watching any games until the playoffs.
