I love the delusions.

GM Brian Cashman continues to 'believe strongly' in Aaron Boone, New York Yankees amid struggles:

Aaron Judge is now tied with Dave Winfield for 14th most home runs in Yankee history.

With Judge's homerun last night, he's now on pace for 61 homeruns.

The actual number is 61.9 but you can't have 0.9 of a homerun.

Anytime you can get rid of a quality left handed starting pitcher for a guy in a walking boot whose whole game is speed you have to do it.

Not a pot shot, sadly.

What, you think a Dodgers fan can't drink liquid through processed meat tubes?

I'd feel more confident in a win tonight if Montgomery was pitching for us instead of Montas.

Sure is man. Very refreshing.

The numbers aren't exactly there but he looks good!

Thankfully I had some company at my home to help quell any potential tears. Appreciate you thinking of me though!

Back to baseball though;

Wonder if the Mets give Rizzo one in the ribs today

Clearly caught him telling Lindor to "STFU" when he tried to interject during the disagreement in the 1st inning

Actually a pretty big fan of Rizzo as a player (for a Yankee at least) but he's always seemed like a bit of a hothead so curious if the Mets decide to retaliate.

And back to the race everyone is following, the Yanks grabbed 1/2 game on the idle Tigers yesterday to pull into a tie for the worst record in baseball for the month of August at 6-14

Tonight the Tigers are at home with Drew Hutchison on the mound in a tough matchup against Carlos Rodon and the Giants

The baseball world will be watching to see if they can keep up the pace with this suddenly Red-hot Yankees squad

I was just trying to remember the last time the Yankees had a young, exciting position player on the team. I think it would have to go back to Gleyber in 2018. 2019, 2020, 2021, and 2022 seem like total dry periods. Some guys like Esteves have been brought up, but with no sizzle whatsoever.

We need guys like Melky Cabrera when he came up, Cano when he came up. Hell, even a two week Jesus Montero kind of thing would be fantastic.

Meanwhile, the Yankees have the highest average player age in the game for 2022.

This is quite normal for them as they always prefer veterans who are washed up playing over giving the young guys a chance.

I remember the excitement when they brought up Shane Spencer and what he did in September. Or how good Gary Sanchez was in 2016 playing just 53 games.

Imagine being a fan of a team and only having 1 post in their thread. Sounds like a troll to me.

Imagine being such a lame, middle aged man that you think posting in your team's thread in an online sports card forum makes you a fan of that team

This is a lot more enjoyable for me than commiserating with my fellow Met fans

Yankee fans need to be reminded that they're the Cowboy fans of the MLB and I'm happy to do that here

Imagine thinking that posting in a rival fan's page makes you any better.

Some thin skin on Gizzkid.
