I hear that. I thought he was interesting as a value play early on because so much of the hype out the gate was on Zion. Once people started pumping him to the point where the card values matched was stupid though, and ended up affecting my feelings towards him (funny how that works with these things). I still have too much of his stuff and will be unloading some this week because ultimately he’s still going to be an inconsistent scorer, in a crowded West. But hopefully if I can take some of the value considerations out I’ll be able to appreciate him more just as a player (kind of where I’m at now with Fox)

Yep. Only problem is Utah has even better 3 point shooters, and they'll have a legit 30+ point threat coming off the bench.

Key will be Kelce somehow getting Rudy in early foul trouble.

It's intriguing though. Just nice to see some fresh blood in the postseason, I suppose.

Didn't see any of the game as I was out golfing, but it appears to be the same old story - Warriors turnovers costing them and Ping talking absolute nonsense. Cool.

Now the playoffs begin, please somebody take down the Nets prior to the Finals.

Also did anyone else hear the stats for the play in games don't count for anything apparently? They're not regular season or playoffs, so they just disappear into nothing. Crazy.

Yea... the standings look weird that GS had a better regular season record than Memphis, but are the 9 seed instead of 8.

Feel like they retroactively have to add these to post season stats. Especially if the play ins become an annual thing

It is fantastic being on the West Coast and having NBA playoff basketball starting at 11 AM tomorrow, and 10 AM Sunday

I believe the play ins are a one time deal that we’re implemented to account for Covid suspensions to try to ensure that a team who may have otherwise been a 7 or 8 seed still has a shot if they slip to 9 or 10 due to suspensions. I’m hoping that’s all it was.

Its here to stay.

I thought it was fantastic because the result was more teams were playing unusually hard in the final few weeks of the regular because they had a chance at 10 and we had some great games that in times past would have been absolute duds due to tanking orgs, etc.

For example, the Wiz were dead last at one point this year and some 'ESPN' calc had them a 0.6% chance to make playoffs. They finished 17-6 with 22 of those final 23 being one possession games. Earnt the right to 4 more games because of that carrot.

It will be better next year because the scheduling I believe won't be as tight, 2 day rest windows etc. so players will get more in between game rest. Playing all those hard games down the stretch this year has taken a toll especially on the lower seeds...

After it's over, I gotta say I loved the idea of the play-in tournament.

Only change I would like to see is letting the 7th seed into the playoffs. Have the 9th and 10th play and the winner against the 8th seed.

Yep, should just be a battle for 8th...and only if the 9th seed is "X" number of games within the 8th seed.
