reminds me a lot of Dominic Brown. Somehow back in lik 2011 i think it was found himself top prospect in baseball but only because harper and strasburg and a few others were quickly promoted. Just wasnt ever really THAT good

had some pop but just strikeout a ton and flamed out. I could see same thing happening with Kelenic

If a player were to start the season 0 for 62, he'd have to get 27 straight hits to get to .300.

Its almost as if when evaluating prospects, you shouldn't put too much weight in A and A+ stats.

Well it was only 30 games and the PCL. He did hit well, didn't K a lot, but it was a small sample size.

More than likely it's a mental issue. Not that that makes it any easier to correct... could actually be more difficult. No guarantee he figures it out although the tools remain. He should never have whined about being held down... put 10x more pressure on himself and it only gets worse as he struggles.

I hate to see people fail, but as as Mets fan, I don't want to see him succeed, either, because that would make the trade go from being 'bad' to one of the worst in Mets history.

Dont want him to fail, but his performance doesn't merit being up with the Mariners

Same player who asserted that his AAA assignment out of Spring Training was unambiguous service manipulation.

I don’t have anything against the kid, and I hope he bounces back; however, he questioned the decisions of coaches and executives with more knowledge and experience. Then he wrote a check that his abilities could not cash. I’d let him swim to the side of the pool on his own

I glad they gave him a longer leash and didn't send him down a 2nd time - even when he was hitting .091

Give the kid a chance to figure it out and let him build his confidence back up in the bigs, not AAA.

I think he's gonna put it all together and have a good season next year.

Not an Ms fan and don't have any cards.

The talent and work ethic is there. He just needs to get his head right and be more consistent. I think if he’s finishes up the way he’s played the last few weeks, it’ll be a nice boost going into the off season.

Yes, well done Mariners. Sending him back down again could've been curtains.

He's stuck at it and hopefully he and the team get rewarded for their persistence. Update was starting to look pretty grim. Hopefully he kills it until the end of the season.
