Terrible. That video makes it seem like he's signing under federal custody and trying to make sure his stuff matches as close to his accomplice/mom as possible.

Felt like this sort of evidence would never surface. But I knew what the autos would look like if it did...

Thanks for posting.

It also suggests that the contrived photo of him during a "signing session" was likely staged.

Although it was never a very convincing photo to begin with.

So who's going to get the ball rolling with Panini like we did with PWCC/PSA/BGS?

I have his mother's auto that I'm not too fond of.

After looking at the video of him signing, I can now easily recognize which ones are fake and which ones are authentic based on the proportion of L to U and how the "u" looks like. His authentic autos have a long L (usually non loopy) compared to U and the u is not a clear u, sometimes it looks like i or n

How was the Dak Prescott auto controversy resolved? I feel that if enough noise is made either panini will be forced to come up with a video showing Luka signing as Lulu or they will replace the Lulu autos.

You would think if enough people tweet Panini about this that they would have to reply at some point.

Best-case-scenario, what exactly could Panini possibly do? I know they won't do anything, but how could they possibly compensate people if they somehow own up to this? I mean, this is lawsuit territory with the amount of damages here, no?

Also, I think it’s pretty funny that UD pretty much opened up the floodgates on this one.

I'd think simply bringing this thread to someone someone's attention would suffice? David Sharpe(sp) perhaps?

I mean technically these are fraudulent items, so they'd very much be responsible for making things right. They have an explicit warranty of authenticity on the back of each card.

They would probably just roll out Prizm “Fast Break Nebula” and an apology letter to those that were affected.

This is what pisses me off. How they staged an act to cover up their mistake.

Quoting from a Beckett article on the Dak Prescott resolution by Panini:

“Panini has issued a statement regarding the questionable 2016 Prizm Dak Prescott autograph redemptions. In it, Panini also drew out their plan of action as far as replacing the cards and announced an extension of an exclusive autograph deal.

Since being notified by Beckett Grading late last week, Panini has tried to recall as many of the cards in question as possible. Some were en route to collectors but were returned before reaching their destination. According to Panini, a total of 167 cards still made it into collectors’ hands.

Panini has asked those that have the original cards, which are believed to have been signed with an autopen, contact the company.”

Big key here... Beckett wouldn't grade the Daks. There's already a ton of BGS and PSA Luka autos out there, so I'm guessing they will ride this out until they get hit with a big lawsuit or something, which won't happen.

Anyone notice the last few RPA sales? Pretty strong.

I'd be happy with a couple boxes...even if it's not the Cantonese Year of the Pig hobby exclusive.

Those with pricey NT cards...probably not.

I don't think cards being unknowingly slabbed as authentic when they aren't has much to do with it. It still voids their guarantee of authenticity issued by the company on each and every autographed card. It's a written contract, plain and simple.

But it may take alerting Beckett/PSA of this situation to jumpstart the process. However, probably not the best timing....

I'm just saying, their hand hasn't been forced, even by this video, the way it was with the Dak situation.

Yeah I get ya...updated my original post. I'm curious if there's an actual certified writing expert that can be contacted regarding this situation for a professional opinion that may hold more weight.

Hold more weight or hold up in court? I would have to think that's the only thing that's going to get a response from them at this point.

Do we know for sure that Panini's even aware of this situation? I'd like to think they have a lot more pressing things to deal with than cruising the BO forums. Any kind of official statement good or bad would at least let us know where they're at.

Have to laugh someone posted an image of one of the Panini Lulu autos on Twitter in response to UD and they replied with a video of Luka signing the cards! LOL

Epic troll Job!

So you’re saying Lulu versions are anchored? Sheets of stickers? Really?
