Game 7 should be quite the matchup. Embiid's knee was heavily iced up after the game, hope the 2 days off has him back at 100% and no more flu!

That Embiid block off the glass against Kawhi and ensuing full court sprint and dunk by Simmons had me so hype. Probably my favorite play of the playoffs so far.

I hope we pull this damn thing off tomorrow. Mostly because I’m a fan, but watching the forum implode if Simmons has a good game and they bounce the Raptors will be epic. Then the jumper criticism begins to look like sad desperation.

This game sort of makes or breaks their season...

First off, it seems like nobody gave them a chance to beat Toronto. Just taking it to Game 7 is a bit of a feat in itself.

But a win here shows progress. If it happens, it'll be the first time that they beat a legit team in the playoffs. Closer to the long term goal.

But I have to tell you, you're going to have to be prepared to ignore the Simmons haters (not just the ones pointing out he has flaws, but the ones that try to tear down anything good they see about him).

If they do win tomorrow, they'll be back as soon as they lose a game to Milwaukee and he doesn't outplay Giannis is every facet of the game.

If they do get by the Bucks, then they'll be back during the Finals when Simmons isn't able to outplay the Monstars Warriors squad by himself.

And if by some miracle, they were to win it all, they'd be quiet for a bit, but would slowly slink back to say that they only won because of Embiid and Jimmy Butler, and point out that if you would have put another player in his place they would have won by more.

It's just the way it is, don't let if impact your own viewpoint too much.

I’d consider an ECF appearance, considering who they have to go through, to be a major win for this season. I think fans and media in general are too impatient with young talent. Most of these guys don’t come out of college and dominate the playoffs, and the playoffs are a different level than the regular season. Simmons has shown glimpses of legit greatness... brief, but it’s there. He’s warming up to the leader role. I mean... he’s 22 and showing up big in spots in the playoffs. When I was 22 I barely had my sh*t together.

This team has had like 25 games together with this starting 5. Continuity is a big factor. Their stars are also 22 and 24... these guys are YOUNG. It took Jordan a long ass time just to get to the finals. We as fans need to stop writing these guys off just because they’re not first team All-NBA from the jump.

I also don’t mind the Simmons haters specifically, but wish there was a little less of it in general. I’m a 76ers fan first, but an NBA fan second. I don’t need to tear down 29 other teams to feel good about my squad. This place is more fun when the conversations don’t turn into a pissing match. A little ball busting is fun, but give credit where it’s due when a guy/team play great. It’s been a fun series and the Raps fans on here are cool. Respect to them and best of luck in the next round if they get it done tomorrow. I’ll be rocking my Simmons jersey and sending prayers to the basketball gods.

I hear ya. The issues are : 1. People are impatient, 2. People around here didn't get in on Simmons early and now like to bandwagon when other people are calling him out.

For me, the fact that he's going toe to toe with Kahwi, and having some success is encouraging.

Mitchell didn't do that this year against Harden
Tatum didn't do that against Giannis.

There are some good signs.

I just want to see them all play well tomorrow, of course I want to win, but to see Simmons dominate again would be amazing esp if he outplays Kawhi again.

It's very rare for young teams to win titles. Kawhi had Duncan, Manu, and Tony Parker surrounding him. As great as Embiid is already, when healthy, he's not yet Tim Duncan and Simmons isn't prime Tony Parker yet. Butler is slightly better than Manu this season.

It just takes a while to learn how to win in the NBA playoffs which is why it took MJ and Lebron and Shaq 7-9 years to win a title.

tj nailed it though - no matter how many games they win, they'll just say 'Simmons doesn't try hard and doesn't have it and will never be a good scorer' even if they win game 7, beat Bucks and take GSW to Game 7.

I dont know. someone like Vogel would have been nice. they need a smart high IQ guy in there and not a RA RA guy like Brown who had no fn clue how to manage games

this 76ers team loses every single close game it seems, period. they dominate many nights and blow teams out of the water, but they will continue to lose close important games until changes are made

everytime it's super close its 5 vs 4......Simmons is a decent point FORWARD. FORWARD. not a guard I'd let butler walk and go get a guy like Kemba Walker

You need an actual PG and someone willing to bang. Pathetic to be outmuscled by Serge Ibaka. Butler amd Simmons seem out of place. Simmons also with zero confidence. Buried on the baseline every offensive set.

3 straight possessions where they couldn't even get a shot off. including a 24 sec violation after a #@#@#@#@ing timeout

I'd love to hear anyone claim Brown isnt a huge problem

most frustrating / sad realization of the game. raps deserved it due to our inability to function there. at least it was kahwi. gotta give the dude some credit. to nail a shot like that... on 5 bounces.... over embiid

The overreactions are wild in here.

PHI got beat because they still lack some experience, Embiid and Simmons are crazy young.

The starting 5 all had a positive +-

Just reload and get better. You lost to a Kawhi falling fadeaway in a game 7 on the road to a stud in Kawhi.

No need to overreact. It's all part of the process.

true. we can be back. offseason should be interesting. hard pill to swallow when the game ends on that note with those series of stretches. felt like we just had it and then it slipped and then it was going to OT and then that. would much rather that than getting blown out but pulls all of the wrong strings to end the weekend lol

Brown is a loser of the #FilipinoJasonKidd mould. 6ers won't win anything with him as coach

Simmons is garbage. Put someone else in during crunchtime. He’s a waste of a body out there standing on baseline scared to catch ball cause he might get fouled.

Your team isn't even the best in its own State.

Keep quiet.
