Like I said, classy and age appropriate. A BIG problem with kids nowadays is that their parents refuse to censor them. That's for another thread though.
You honestly think Timon and Pumbaa weren't hooking up regularly?

Can I assume they taught you about the rear naked choke when it was age appropriate?

I'm sure he believes Bert and Ernie are just roommates, too.

If a bunch of NRA members are flaunting their AR-15s in a public peaceful assembly, should they be discriminated against because their message hurts someone's feelings? Why should a father have to explain to his kids why a bunch of people are armed in a park?
So again CD7, what is the difference?

i've got to jump in to back up CD7 a bit, even if I disagree. I'm sure all of us can agree there are things we don't want our children to witness. while two people in love (regardless of sex) isn't one of them for me, it is for him. I think we can all agree that we wouldn't want our young children to witness somebody getting killed, etc.

also, i think most sane people agree that PDA is fine until it gets excessive.

that being said, i still wouldn't worry about my daughter seeing two boys or two girls kiss. Love is love. I also doubt that CD7 is the type of guy to disown his kid if one were to end up being gay.

and #@#@#@#@ Caillou. that bald #@#@#@#@er is annoying.

He's more than welcome to keep himself and his children locked in at home in a bubble or, they can simply look away when two people kiss if it's so offensive.

Caillou is whiny and miserable, I agree.

If I had a homosexual child I'd tell him/her the same I will my straight children. Find someone who loves you and treats you well. Someone honest that is able to care about someone other than just themselves.

My point in all this was lost. I don't think PDAs are appropriate in public. I said I didn't feel homosexuals purposely driving to chicken establishments to make out on their property was respectful to families. I'd say the same exact thing for heterosexual couples. It's not the same as a couple kissing on the cheek, holding hands etc. That stuff doesn't bother me whether straight or gay. It also doesn't raise the same attention.

We can't stick our head in the sand, try to stand behind numbers and say that there aren't prejudices and preconceived notions about black people.
We've seen the police videos. They were and are sickening

Police officers deserve respect, but there are some racist, high school-bullied, Halo and GTA playing, power trippers in there too. And they have the ability to destroy good will on all levels.
I don't know how to fix that.

However, benefit of the doubt on both sides would go a long way. All white people arent racists- though there are some. And all black people aren't thugs and criminals- though there are some
Realizing that and realizing that there are some real problems within each of our own races will help.
Right now there are sides. And that's rarely a good thing

I'd say the group of NRA members should meet at a shooting range outdoors. I'd say the hays that wanted to shove their cause down the throats of restaurant patrons on family night should have done their thing at home or at a club.

There is a time and a place for everything. People lack decency nowadays. I don't want my kids at a park with a bunch of gun toting individuals. Nor do I want them seeing people purposefully gathering to do nothing but makeout. It wasn't a random kiss. It was full on PDAs, again to send a message.

So to answer your question, I find neither to be an appropriate setting for my 3 kids that are 6 and under.

Then don't take them to the park. You being offended doesn't trump my rights. Nor do I care if me exercising my rights offends someone. Be offended all you want, won't stop me from from exercising my freedoms as an American citizen.

Exactly. The ALCU defended the KKK's right to protest and assemble. As disgusting as the monsters at the Westboro Baptist Church are, they also have equal rights under the law to protest. Just because you don't like it, doesn't mean it has to disappear.

And to clarify, when I said "I agree" I was agreeing that for example people assembling to protest a dead soldier's funeral is bad taste. That does not mean they can't do it or shouldn't have the right to do it because it makes sensitive pansies uncomfortable and *gasp* may result in having to talk to inquisitive children.

I'd rather see two guys holding hands at a restaurant than a fat person shoving food into their mouth. No one would ever tell the fatty to lose weight.

Notice I'm not protesting anywhere nor am I crying for a law to be changed?

Simply saying it's indecent and people should show some class and respectful behavior. Goes for everyone, not just certain groups or causes.

That's another good topic to get into. The detriment that fat people are becoming to our society. Crushing healthcare costs, too lazy to be good parents, riding those damn scooters around in the store and getting in my way. If you are too fat to walk for your groceries, don't eat until you can.

There....let's fight over that. I've seen alot of card collectors, many are hogs. This should be fun. ..

Subsidizing lettuce and broccoli instead of corn and sugar would be a good first step.

And for me I am proud NOT to be fat, and be in shape.

What if it's 2 fat guys holding hands at a restaurant shoving food in each others mouths?
