I am finally going to get off my butt and send in an order. Probably wasting money in the long run but, 1. I want to show support of SGC, 2. I don't trust CGC with vintage (hobby still seems to be call them irrelevant in sports cards), 3. I just like SGC better for HOF rookies and keep uniformity with the rest of my PC

I got a stack, just deciding how many to send in.

In regards to #3 above, I'm right there with you! I hate having a "Frankenstein" collection with mixed slabs from various companies. That's just me, but I feel like in terms of true collectors (and not flippers), that's the norm. So that also ties into the "Probably wasting money in the long run", which I don't believe will happen. Heck, if SGC went out of business tomorrow (thanks, Nat!) who knows, there may be a premium paid for centered SGC vintage cards as true collectors out there like us want to have a card graded by SGC for uniformity in their collection, and they no longer can grade them with SGC anymore. You never know. And even then, worst case scenario, if SGC values plummet (I don't see why) these cards don't magically vanish if SGC gets phased out, so we're one re-holder away from having our cards presented by another company if need be, so we're covered there too.

In related news, I'm sending in another order next week.

Yes, the ACTUAL card in the slab, ya know the important part, is still the same. A lot cards aren't worth changing slabs, unless you get the magic PSA 10 bonus. I don't see SGC cards losing much value at least in the short to medium run. Most people know SGC grades are legit and they aren't some back door company. I keep looking at CGC cards 90's on back for the same grade as SGC and the SGC ones seem better. I think even a defunct SGC slab will be more highly regarded than a current CGC slab (again sports cards, not ultra modern for all you pokemon people). I just don't really care that much about ultra modern as long as it is a 9, 9.5, or 10 which the difference is so minimal anyways.
