I plan to make a separate thread on this, but Abra recently sent me a VERY generous 25 pound care package of supplies including top loaders, top loader binders, one touches, penny sleeves, team bags, and these 2 gems (amongst a plethora of other dope cards).

It’s the first time I’ve had one in hand and the texture of the cpu chip design is really cool. I nearly bought the mj in 2014. Oops.

At least I grabbed the Vince Class of 98 in psa 9 a while back for a solid price.

No idea, sorry. But that is a nice card with the green and red color combo. Maybe bc it smells like Christmas

Check out this 2000-01 Topps Heritage... well it is actually the All-Star Weekend version passed around at the event. The design is based on the iconic 71-72 Topps set.

Added a couple key cards to my Jayhawk PC recently:

Shout out to Jacque Vaughn - the man has paid his dues and deserved another chance.

Also shout out the man who was the voice of my childhood. Max - wish you were here to see this Dick kid ball out (no pause).

Nice, this thread needed resurrecting. Hopefully there could be some decent amount of sharing and conversation about cards going. I'm not too familiar with Press Pass stuff, but it's cool that they put info like the player's draft selection on the card in what I'm assuming is a team color.

I am a big fan of commentator/coach/etc. autos. Was this from a specific Kansas released set? The black and white photo really makes the card, and I don't even know who this person is.

I've thought about starting monthly pickup threads like in baseball and a lesser extent football but it just seemed like for basketball the interest isn't there. I know people post their latest pickups in the player threads but I've always liked a catch all thread for all pickups to see

I haven't posted much here as of late. So, I recently picked up my fifth copy of the first year yellow "gold" #/10 (PSA10), which brings me to %50 of the print run. The only complaint is that I am 99.99% sure that the auction was shilled, but nothing I can do now.

Yeah, I recall an attempt at a thread like that in the past that didn't gain much traction. I agree about a catch all thread-there's a lot more being collected than Giannis, Luka, and Zion.

Now that is an impressive group of cards. I'm assuming you're going for the entire print run? That would certainly be an incredible achievement. Obsidian parallels are beautiful cards.

I liked some of their designs and on-card autos, for sure, especially as a college hoops fan.

Yeah, it's from a 2013 UD Kansas Basketball team set. He was the radio announcer for the team from 1946 - 2006. 60 freaking years on the job.
