I had great luck recently crossing over many SGC slabs to CGC @scottish punk same with BGS only had one that wouldnt cross. 2 cards received small bumps in grade even. I had been focusing on getting my whole collection of slabbed cards in either CGC or PSA but I'll ultimately still have around 10 total in BGS/SGC collectively.

When your BGS 9.5's successfully cross, do they all cross to CGC 10s?

Has anyone submitted an order that had a card that CGC said they no longer grade? if so, did it hold up your order much? My latest submission had a couple of cards from a set that some people online are claiming that CGC is no longer grading. I reached out to CGC's customer service and they said as far as they know they are still grading them, but I will only know for sure when the submission comes in. It feels like my recent economy order is taking a little longer to move into the scheduled for grading phase. So I am wondering if these cards are holding it up. I really don't care about the TAT on the order, just wanting to see if the cards get included in the list scheduled for grading. I have about 20 more of them I would like to submit, but waiting on that verification if they are being graded or not.

My next order will be a jsa/cgc order. If I can generate some ebay sales, I will likely do another sports bulk. I think I decided that my push to sell off extra stuff, the dollars are going into grading fees and just a few key pick ups. My retail spending has dropped this year. I have lots of parallels on ebay right now to clear out extra stuff. With the increased COMC intake prices, I don't think these would cover the costs.

That is correct, but sadly its that or bust. I wish they had a 9.5 or better option in their drop down but they dont. Cause I had a bgs 9.5 a couple years back that I just wanted a cgc 9.5 or better and because one is gem mint it has to be gem mint 10 to cross. I get it, just wish 9.5 was also an option

You can send in multiple service types in the same package. If I have more than one thing going on, I put each service type in a ziploc with the packing slip for that service. The sucky thing is each service type gets returned to you as a separate submission, so shipping costs add up quickly.

I think they must've gotten a lot of subs after the PSA hike. Mine was delivered same day 23rd still not sch for grading, but that's a bit longer than it usually takes them to get a status change. Hoping they don't get too backed up too. Otherwise, this will be a big kneecap buster to my extra income.

Yep. Mark Hawkins just posted this yesterday in his group:

I imagine they are getting hammed with Pokemon right now. I know of 4 or 5 streamers on Whatnot that probably are sending them at least 120,000 cards a month, if not more, just between them.

That is just crazy. Is that like sending in everything they are opening? Are pokemon packs they typical, 5 commons, 3 uncommons, one rare, one foil kind of deal? So everything but the commons get graded?

I am going to be sending in a JSA sub, good to know I won't see them back in forever. Maybe I will squeeze in a regular sub. Double edged sword, good to CGC getting more popular, bad for turn arounds until capacity increases.

They grade about 95% Japanese Pokemon since the quality control of Japanese Pokemon is way better than english. So greater Pristine 10 rates. They source singles from Japan and then grade them. It's actually pretty cool to see the streams in action, some more than others.

Short term pain with turnaround times is worth it for more market visibility. My sales velocity on CGC 10s (not Pristines) is not where I'd like it to be. The Pristine 10 moves quickly and for solid prices. The straight 10 sits and you have to take a significant cut in price.

Now, I think CGC has to be very careful about losing momentum with slowing down turnaround times, especially with sports card submitters. This happened to SGC. If CGC can keep it to under 2 months, it will go a long way to cementing its status as a strong alternative to PSA.

Are they are all rares and foils though? Just seems like the equivalent of grading every parallel in sports cards. I don't have a whatnot account and don't foresee getting one. CGC seems to be thriving for Pokemon. Hoping some of that kicks in for sports cards. I can't sit through Pokemon grading reveals. The cards are all so ugly to me, ha ha. Just not my thing.

Yes, no common cards. They are all some type of "hit", just Japanese. I think two of the streamers actually have large enough operations that go to Japan themselves to source the cards.

I submitted a Bulk order 35 cards and was received on the 24th Feb. Does it take sometime for it to be logged? This is the first time I’m submitting cards to CGC. Turnaround time is 40 working days. I wonder if I’ll see any movement to my submission.

I'm looking for the same information as you but my submission is Economy (20 biz days) and I'm on day 8 without a sub number/list of items.

Anyone know what the expected time frame is for them to begin working on Economy orders?

thanks, at least I will save shipping in one direction.

Two years ago, I had a mahomes absolute retail RC reholdered from the green 9.5 to a 10. the thing i didn't notice is that on the back, it says "AUTO 10", but there is no auto...debating on sending it to be reholdered or not, or if I should just leave it. I would need to pay for it, since I didn't catch it within 14 days
