I'm starting to think the reason the logofractor and LITE boxes were packed with the SPs is because they only have the exclusive versions and not the actual extended ones that are missing.

Sapphire was a gimmick until they reformatted it to something reasonable in 2018, and hit a home run with Bat Down. The cards also happen to look great. I think it’s unfortunate that Topps got lazy and now Sapphires everything in mass quantity.

3D holds a place in hobby history. Also helps that the set isn’t overly produced. I understand the appeal.

This set is just Topps slapping on a new finish to Chrome in order to move more wax. It’s lazy. It’s not original. And it goes to show that nothing will change with Fanatics in charge. They ripped everyone off with the SP fiasco, and y’all are back on your knees buying their garbage again. Have at it, but don’t get pissy when not everyone agrees.

I’m ripping 3 boxes. It looks like the 5 base packs are exactly that, only base (only through 1 box so far) - these packs don’t have the normal odds on the wrapper.

Gotcha. Misunderstood when you said base.

If the regular packs are just true base, then it seems unlikely they have SPs. A slight hit to the product but not completely unexpected based on how the Bowman Megas are.

I could be wrong but I believe the “extended SP’s” are considered base so they should be in those packs. Just think of it as a short printed base card if that makes sense. Those cards are technically part of the base set just in an extended version not to be confused with the 2019 comparison, but more in line with the way Topps did it with 2015.

I hope you’re right but considering they didn’t include them in jumbo and hobby, that seems a stretch.

The messaging from Topps is odd as they said they were included in Logofractor, but it’s confusing as they could just mean the Logofractor ones.

I should’ve bought more boxes, ripping these logofractor packs was a lot of fun! No Julio, Wander or any of the top rookies but as a Mets fan this last box was deGrominant!

I may have to go back to the store for more…
