Poor Detroit? They've actually won several titles in the last 50 years.

KAT was quiet tonight offensively. Brunson carried the offensive side. I still don't see them as a threat to a healthy Boston.

It was a great step in the right direction for the Pistons. Hopefully they build off of this to get even better.

They've been bad for a while... Like really bad lol. I was happy to see them make the playoffs.

Second half will be intense. Clippers still have a chance.

Harden is such a loser. Clippers got lucky with him trying to give the game away for the whole 4th

Game 7 should be fun. Please keep beating each other up while OKC rests up

Are you being serious with this comment? If Jordan thought like that, he wouldn’t have come back to play his second year in the league when he broke his foot. The Bulls management wanted him to stay out for the entire year. He forced his way back into the lineup, because of his love for the game. I can hardly think of a player today who would have done the same thing under those circumstances.

The Bulls were thoroughly outmatched by the Celtics in the playoffs that year. But Jordan did everything he could to give his team a chance. In the second game, he was so good that the Bulls came as close as any team was going to get to taking down the Celtics in the Boston Garden in the playoffs that year. The game went to overtime and the Bulls lost by just four points. Not even the Twin Towers came close to beating the Celtics at the Boston Garden.

Now tell me it doesn’t matter to the fans who were watching that game? I think the Bulls fans and all basketball fans appreciate a player going out there and being the best player on the court, regardless of the outcome and especially when no other player on the Bulls can matchup with any of the Celtics players.

And I much as I can't stand LeBron, I would say the same thing about him. He was incredible in the series against the Warriors when the Cavs got swept.

Also, you're dead wrong about Jordan with the Wizards. Once he shook off the rust, he was putting up the same numbers he had in his final season with the Bulls. This was for a 20 game stretch, and once Richard Hamilton came back from injury the Wizards were winning games. That team was headed to the playoffs until a serious knee injury derailed Jordan and the Wizards season. He tried to play through the injury. Most of today's players would not have attempted that. His overall stats don't look great, because of the first games when he was rusty and the games when he played through injury. In the following season, he of course played the entire 82 game season on that bad knee.

It’s so funny watching the Jordan fan girls use the exact same arguments that the lebrononites do.

The stats were objectively bad but oh it’s different because he played through an injury or whatever “black tar” coming out of his knee, he got abducted by aliens, he was too busy spending his time off the court helping the elderly…..

Yap yap yap

Oh but he had good stats for 20 games!

I was disappointed not to see a game 7. I don't think the Knicks are that much better of a team. It is clear the Pistons need another scoring piece to go along with Cade. I would love to see them dump Tobias (didn't like him the first go round and don't like him now) and bring in a legit dude. Hopefully, Ivey improves and slots in to be a better Hardaway Jr. Season was a success, getting playoff experience and a couple of wins will do wonders for this team and Cade.

I do think the Celtics won't have much of an issue dusting off the Knicks (or the Pistons if they made it). KAT is great in stretches, but he doesn't use his size at all and can go cold. Brunson is great. Length of the Celtics will bottle him up for the most part, will just depend on how much flopping the refs will call.

Brighter future for the first time in awhile for the Pistons.

As a Knicks fan I fully expect them to get curb stomped by Bos. If they win a game it would be an accomplishment. They'll probably lose them all by double digits.

This is the post-season thread.

Bring this to the hundreds of LeBron v. Jordan threads you guys create.

I swear, if Jordan had just been eliminated from a playoff (and I know we could go back to 1989 or whatever) we could simply take this to the losers thread.

But then, that one is kind of beautiful in its simplicity.

I've never seen a team blow so many games in a series.

Detroit could've swept the series 4-0 and instead lost in 6.

It reminds me of nothing so much as Pacers vs. Celtics a year ago (against a far better team).

Three of the four losses we dropped leads in the last 5 minutes. Detroit will be back. And yeah they need the equivalent of our Pascal pick up. A battering ram with length who wants to play with Hardaway Jr., just as Siakam wanted to play with Myles.

Well the Pistons don't have any closers and the worst 4th Q / playoff coach in the league.

I don't blame it 100% on JB but he was awful... all too familiar for Cavs fans.

In the grand scheme of this season it doesn't really matter because they wouldn't get past Boston/Cleveland, but if I was a Pistons fan I'd be pulling my hair out playing "what if" for the end of those 4 losses.

What a negative way of looking at it. Betting odds/talking heads/etc said Detroit had no shot. Many predicted a sweep. I think they played way better than expectations. They need to learn to close, for sure. I believe that will come

Harden. All that matters is the beard. Along with valencutinous he is the one who truly owns it.

Yeah, I did. That's why I said it. I don't really care what he did for the first 3 quarters, in the last half of the 4th he was absolutely atrocious and almost cost them the game. Almost every possession he pounded the ball at the top until there was only 5 seconds left and completely removed all the momentum they had because he was tired and just hoping the clock would tick down before the lead was gone, there was barely any effort towards getting a quality shot. He stood there like a cone while Denver was running fast breaks, didn't even pretend to try to put up any kind of resistance. He stood there some more when they blew layups or missed shots and picked up multiple offensive rebounds. He was obviously tired, but who cares. It's the last 5 minutes of an elimination game and he was playing scared/tired/whatever. He's lucky Norm and Batum had such great games or they'd be in Cancun right now.

Who are the younger players on the Clippers? The ones I could still afford to invest in...

he played 47/48 minutes

I'd say he has the heart of a champion

In game 5 Harden defended Joker. It paid off in slowing Jokic down, they just didn't have a plan to offset Hardens' lack of offense. And then they let Murray run wild. They made the adjustments in game 6 like I thought they would.

My concern with both of these teams is the dogfight this series has become. I will be surprised if game 7 isn't decided at the last minute. That's why I wanted the Clips to make a statement game 4. Their 3rd quarter of that game cost them.

I just can't take either of these teams against OKC right now. The Thunder will be rested and I don't believe they'll be rusty. Plus I think they toughen up and make adjustments from their game 3 scare against Memphis.

Game 7 tomorrow night should be great though.

ya I do believe whoever wins this series will get knocked out just due to fatigue and the thunder being rested
