The funds will win.

We're playing the same game w/ different characters. You can't expect an unorganized group of retail to hold together for a long period of time. There's a limit to the value they can add into a stock (and when X many decide to get out and take their gains, it's over).

Toss in the expected GME secondary offering; this will end soon. Still, all that said, plenty of room for the rise to continue.

It’s not ending. They’re still upside down by a hefty amount.

Who gets to decide how to value a stock? They can’t unwind all their shorts. To unwind them they have to buy. This is just going to drive the price higher.

Yeah, I am pretty pissed Robinhood took this notion.

I put a little money into these to catch the ride, and had some buy orders last night for Nokia, and honestly have no clue now if they will go through since it's not supported with them anymore.

How the heck is this not market manipulation? It's the same with Blackberry, AMC, Gamestop, and now the site isn't working for me.

Oh boy, I have a feeling Robinhood will get hit hard for this, but who knows.

It will end. When you are no longer able to buy any; it will end quickly.

TD already limited a lot of accounts on these stocks; it didn't start w/ RH.

I can still buy, but I don’t use RH.

It only ends if there are shares to buy. If nobody sells their shares, it’s an infinite loop.

How this is lost on so many I have no idea.

So is this not market manipulation? Limiting people buying stock, forcing it to go down in price?

I never went into GME as that was way too volatile for my liking, but #@#@#@#@ Nokia at $5, why not?

Yes but again, the average retail investor will see that people are unable to buy, and can only sell ... and will sell.

This one already has chased out almost all others with self appointed experts, and know-it-alls.

The average retail investor can sell ALL their shares and it doesn’t cover the short position.

When the shorts buy, it drives the price up.

Shorts have to buy 70M shares, 20M of which don’t exist. It’s pretty basic math.

I have accounts with both.. mostly in RH though just because I prefer the interface even tho it costs me opportunity in the PM hours. I’m switching entirely to Webull. I hope Robinhood burns.

Yes but you will end up close to where we started. With an oversold float at a much lower valuation. It never HAS to resolve.

HALT.

If it doesn’t resolve are you just going to eat the interest forever? Doesn’t seem like a sound financial policy. Go broke through the front door or the back.

Sellers don’t have to sell, shorts HAVE to buy eventually or go underwater due to interest. That could take years, but it will happen eventually.

The only way for the shorts to get out is to buy and eat the overvalued shares.

This isn’t tough to figure out.

You presume sellers "don't have to sell". But they will (because they do). I know what you mean of course but again, we're talking about a population in which one of two things will happen

(1) The stock will stall and they will move to the next "thing"
(2) They need the $$

The momentum will shift. Right now, retail has the mojo and when that changes, this will change with it.

SNDL halted. Bought it at $0.69/share yesterday, halted at $1.19/share.
