My order just finished processing. 257 PSA 10's (62%). I was hoping for upwards of 75-80% but most of the chrome cards received less grades than I expected. This will get me thinking real hard on submitting my bulk 2013 Topps Chrome Nolan Arenado and Manny Machado rookies.

The crazy thing is there were cards I submitted hoping for a 9 and somehow got a 10 and some I thought were sure 10's that ended up as 9's and 8's. Funny how that works sometimes.

First time having cards graded. Order initially sent in was for my dad, and then decided on some of mine later. The shipping is obviously atrocious, but I don't plan to do more than 1 or 2 cards a year.

Has anyone had any Collector's Club Specials pop from last month? The estimated grading time was 10 days but mine has surpassed that. Regular 10-Day orders seem to be finishing on schedule.

No, but mine didn't get logged until March 8.

Better than my order. I wonder if they have some new graders who are simply just being overly harsh.

Still nothing. I’m 56 business days in. I just tried calling again but it said 9 people in line and I’m about to get on a plane. If I weren’t going to Vegas right now I’d probably be more upset. I have a 300 card order I was going to send in but now I’m not sure.

Order Type: 45 day bulk
# of cards: 158
Order received per USPS (if possible): 12/04/17
Order received per PSA: 12/27/17
Order popped: (including count of business days)

I called and spoke to customer service today. I had asked for a rough estimate in regards to logging time. I was told they were at Feb 9 for bulk orders and Feb 19 for 10 day (or non express orders). My Bulk order was delivered Feb 12 and 10 day Feb 22. I am hoping this is accurate as I would see my orders logged by early next week.

You’re probably 10 days away or so from it being logged.

Did anyone else notice this? Regular, $20 submissions are now listed as a 30-day turnaround, and the $50 "Express" service went from 5 business days to 15 on the PSA website. I assume this does not include the significant log times. Was this announced? If so, I don't remember.

That's dreadfully slow... Hopefully the much increased wait has people holding off on submitting and lets them get things back to normal. I sure miss the days of a 45 day bulk popping in a week...

Not sure it will have much of an effect. How many people submitting to PSA will switch their business to BGS because of increased wait times? And why would you wait any longer when you're already looking at a 2-3 month turnaround time on bulk orders?

The times won't improve until they increase their capacity to grade. I wonder how many bulk order cards they grade in a day.

I don't think any changes they make to capacity are going to improve service levels. I'm betting that the new turnaround times are the new normal. I thought they would attempt to capitalize and take away market share from Beckett when they went to the new service model. It looks like I was wrong and they aren't going to try and maintain previous service levels to retain new business that has moved over from Beckett. I think they could very well see a decrease in subs due the risk in grading modern base for resale. The risk goes way up when you consider that with a few exceptions bulk sub pricing is the only level that allows for reasonable profit on a base modern card, the regular service level of $20 doesn't make sense. Now tell the submitter that those base cards won't be slabbed and ready for resale until the following playing season, it's not a winning formula.

I'm thinking the grading surplus might normalize somewhat in reaction to prices in the secondary market. People have been grading a lot of base non-auto's rookies that often don't bring much of a premium when auctioned or sit for a long time as BIN's.

I doubt people will switch to BGS for bulk orders, since BGS's prices while comparable will take even longer than PSA's. It looks like they are at least 7 months out. Most people were already using BGS for the guaranteed services (i.e. 10 day, 5 day, 2 days).

Order Type: 10 day
# of cards: 30 cards
Order received per FedEx: 2/28/18
Order received per PSA: 3/7/18
Order popped: 3/15/18

EDIT: I got 27 tens and 3 nines, and I am still waiting on a reslab that arrived at the same time, due to them not saying my Judge card was a gray back.

What frustrates me the most is that if they could turn cards around faster, I could sell faster and have more cards to send them. They are hurting their own cash flow.

I sent a single high end Brady rookie for express 5 day turnaround. It sat there for 2 weeks before they logged it, and it's now been 6 days since they logged it and no pop yet. I'm working on sub'ing another 100+ card submission that I'll be lucky to see by June. They need a faster operational model...

June? I would consider anything sent now a Labor Day order!
