I think it speaks of his character and core convictions. He is not going to change who he is. He knows that many like him and that many don't. Trump attacked Cruz' wife and father, so why would he endorse him?
Trump is so very capable of self destructing because of his inability to control his tongue. Cruz will not be on board with someone like that. Unwavering values.

But isn't that essentially what he did? He did pledge to support the candidate no matter who it was. I'd say that's giving up his values.

I also know who he is because aside from his financial stance, i agree with quite a bit of him (according to the latest isidewith results). Now that Sanders is out, I'm more in line with Stein, but i don't think she'll be on the ballot everywhere, which is unfortunate.
