I went to the big Collectors Con card show in Tampa this past weekend, and I saw very few nice Zion cards for sale. There were some of the usual Prizm/Optic/Mosaic base PSA 10s, but as far as nice color parallels or numbered cards, I barely saw any in the dealer showcases. Seems like most people are hanging on to their Zions right now.

I saw some Zion colors at Tampa. High price tags, but they were there.

I was only there on Sunday, so maybe they got bought out by Saturday before I got there. Probably the best Zion I saw in the entire show was a Spectra RC jersey auto.

Might be just me, but it seems like a bunch of the lower-tier (if you can even call them that) Zion autographs have been bought up over the past 3 or 4 days. Court Kings HA $1.4k, Optic Choice 2.5k etc...

Some nice Fat Bois went up last night for auction. PSA 10s of Mosaic White /25 and Genesis, Panini One and One Red /15 and a Contenders auto.

It's the Ball In Front Contenders. What's the difference in the variations? I hate how they do the different versions.

Yeah, there were a bunch Friday and Saturday. I saw at least 2 Blue BGS 9.5's a Green Cracked Ice /8 PSA 10, etc.

Zion was a great buy over the summer (still is if you can find anything cheap). Now, everyone is focusing on FB and BK that his prices are starting to climb again.

It's not too late, but it's not prime buying anymore.

It is getting tough. Every seller I offer seems to counter with, "I'll wait for the season."

I'm skeptical big chunk will see a big boost. The short term volatility seems to have worked its way out of the hobby. The 40 point eruptions leading to 3x card prices over night are done.

At the end of the day, Zion has to perform. Averaging 22 points and 7 rebounds is not going to cut it. He has to be around 28-30 per in order for his cards to sustain. Or else, people are going to panic and dump.

So, let's see. I have a lot of Zion, so I need him to do his thing!

You realize he averaged 27 last year right? He was 8th in points, 4th in PER, and 26th in attempts. People are excited because any type of increase in his usage means he's going over 30ppg, and will probably get close to 5 assists per game this year as well. He still hasn't even played 100 games yet, and we're talking about panicking? Chill, Luka is a year ahead in the "but he hasn't accomplished X yet" curve and costs twice as much. Your Zion cards will be fine.

I am a believer in Zion. Been wanting to pick something up of him all year. This card checked all the boxes for me in terms of price, appeal and especially getting something on-card. Heres to chunk szn

People are forgetting some of the historical things he's done.

He's the ONLY player to ever average 25ppg when he turned 21.
The next 8 highest ppg under 21 are (all hall of famers except Luka yet):
Lebron
Luka
Bernard King
Shaq
KD
Melo
Kyrie

He's also historically efficient. He has the NBA record (regardless of age) of highest FG% (61.1%) for anyone scoring over 25ppg.

He also was #9 in scoring (all HOF above him) over his first 60 games and those above him were quite a bit older when they joined the NBA.

I've never been a numbers guy. But if you've watched a lot of basketball for a long time, you can easily recognize he's special. Without comparing their game... the last one to have the same electricity was Shaq to me.

If we are being honest the motor is probably the biggest question mark. Dude relaxes on defense 9 possessions out of 10.
