To answer the question though, there's quite a few studies that show masks work to a certain extent. Nothing is full proof but the important part is reducing the chances. I don't think many scientist will say it doesn't work at all. I think they'll say it's not as effective as the media makes you believe.

Not sure why anyone questions my stance on masks? I never said they don't work. I simply laughed at Jopeal when science to contradict what he had been spouting in here was posted. I believe masks help but they obviously are not the answer or a long term solution. I wear my mask everyday to do my part. I just don't understand the outrage over folks who don't want to wear a mask. I also believe it is not the governments job to mandate such things. So I basically agree with everything you just posted.

Is it not the governments job to build a wall? The governments job is to enforce safety any way it can. I believe both those are the responsibility of the government

Who is paying for the wall? As a taxpayer, you are. You are mandated (by law) to pitch in and pay for the wall.

Now, before you get all snippy, please understand that while I ridicule the way you make your point, I am not ridiculing your point itself.

I am happy you do your part in masking up when appropriate. That's all I have personally advocated for. We all know they aren't 100% foolproof, but doing our part when appropriate is all I've ever asked of anyone. Thank you for that.

As to the wall, I don't see it exactly the same way as Mike...but in principle I do agree with him and you. The wall will be nowhere near 100%...in fact I expect it will have a minimal impact. But a minimal impact is better than no impact. Honestly, I am neither for nor against the wall. I am indifferent.

While I acknowledge it's potential minimal benefit, I don't know if it's worth the cost. It is teetering on the cost/reward line for me. It certainly doesn't hurt though. I am not against it. I'm more of a "why not".

The wall and masks have different cost/benefit analyses. That's all I'm saying I guess.
