It's not the entire media (every single source) that slants things against Trump. Many do...there's no denying that. But some are in favor of Trump. Some slant things that direction.

An unbiased media that simply reported facts would be awesome. I'd like to think that if that's what people (consumers) wanted, someone would step up and take over. It just hasn't worked that way.

Our government cannot interfere with free press though. Our founding fathers put that in the Constitution for a reason. It's not just an Amendment...it's the First One!!! It was hugely important to them, the people that brought our union together to escape tyranny.

Time and again throughout history, state control of media has resulted in oppression. It's not a new thing. It wasn't a new thing 240+ years ago even.

Allowing government to say which press is legit is simply dangerous. It's okay to dispute what they say, but anything more than that from our government is simply ignoring the wisdom of those that risked so much to create a better way.

Let the media battle with each other, as they always have. Let Fox say CNN is bogus. It is not the government's place.

Help me understand this paragraph.....

Isn't disputing what they say delegitimizing them?
Is calling something fake news disputing them or delegitimizing them?

I also understand what you are saying but when it's come to the point where a majority of the media are straight up lying about the President and totally ignoring anything that makes Democrats look bad it's gotten past simple media bias. I know you disagree but I see Trump calling out the media's B.S. as one of his greatest accomplishments.

If the only source of Truth is government, unchecked, then we are in for sad days ahead. The First Amendment exists for a reason, and that reason is to protect the people from the government.

Refuting things the media says is one thing. Discrediting the institution as a whole is another.

I'm not talking about the alternative to media. You stated: "I just don't personally feel the factually incorrect media statements are as scary as a government that positions itself as the only source of Truth." I provided evidence that factually incorrect media statements can be downright terrifying.

We can argue which is worse (waste of time), but there's this theme I've noticed of repeatedly diminishing the significance of the media bias. The media doesn't simply pick on Donald Trump. Picking on the president is a national pastime, and if Donald Trump gets it worse than the average president, so be it. The media is the driving force behind the riots that are causing significant harm to the communities they pretend to care about when they report their bulls*** "news," and then goes "look at how Donald Trump has failed." Nah, fam. You did this, media, not Trump.

I don't believe the government should regulate media. I believe the media should be ethical in how it reports the news. I have no solution, but am disappointed that this is what the "news" has become. Mainstream media outlets are willing to sacrifice their own followers for a political victory.

how about we stop calling them "news" networks. they are not anymore. its all opinion and bias one way or the other. its like the history channel , almost no shows on history anymore. so cnn, fox news, etc started as news channels but they no longer give us the news.

we need RNN - real news network - that literally just gives facts of what happened without all the bs.

but is he currently an analyst? im not as well versed in football as i am NBA. i think people pay alot of money to go to games, and sponsors pay alot of money to have their commercials on during games. yes i 100% think it should be left out of sports and commentating, if Favre is a commentator and said this during a telecast, then yes by all means i am willing to eat crow on this.

and its not because it doesn't align with my politics, if the NBA did a BLM (babies lives matter) something i wholeheartedly agree with i would also say it doesn't have its place, sports should be sports, and if you want to use a social media platform or whatever off the clock, that is your prerogative, and i support that. Love how the NBA saw how $hitty their ratings were and are now saying that they wont have that stuff next year...

In order to get more than 1 option in the poll, the results may look a bit funny. The only way it would come out perfectly (100%) is if everyone voted in all 5. If you skip one (totally fine), it will rate that as a no vote for both sides. Once enough people vote, it should be clear enough, but you won't get 100%.
