I wish they could get away from their $50 fee to slab oversized (exhibits). Way too high.

$50? Yeah, that's pricey. I thought these were around $30. Guess I'm out of the loop

This is wrong. They are $15 to grade. Lots of people think Red Man, Tall Boys, and other larger issues are expensive to grade, but they are not.

Exhibits are "3-3/8" X 5-3/8" and this is what SGC states, "Oversized items are larger than 3 ˝ " x 5 ˝ "

I think when most say oversized they are talking about 5x7 and the Jumbo Box Toppers which most are over that 3 1/2 x 5 1/2 threshold.

The person I quoted said exhibits. I hear this all the time on YouTube as well from certain channels when they are talking about Icee Bear, 1964 Topps Giants, 1952to 1955 Red Man Tobacco, and 1969, 1970 Tall Boys. I think a lot of people don't grade these cards because they think they are more expensive.

I'm a Day ahead of you with an 18-Card Order for literally all of your dates but PGP; mine are still in PGP and have been there since Friday Afternoon

I've sent a handful, and they came back Altered -- FWIW - I don't send Gems, or even Mid-Grade cards; Just stuff I perceive as RARE and/or "iconic" despite their conditions (I typically get excited when the stuff I send in gets an actual number); so not 100% the glue contributed to the AA on all of them, but fairly certain it did on a few 48 Leafs

A backlog means you have cards to grade in the future and don't have any downtime. More profitable. The two specials were not on accident.

These are graded and on the way back to me. So door to door, just over a month. Slow for SGC standards. I should get them Monday and Tuesday

That gives me hope the one sub I have at SGC will get grades soon. What was the time difference in when you got the grades to when they shipped?

I saw the second order in Post-Processing Grading and than shipped later that day. I would assume the seller ready images are done. I don't look at that until I open the box first.

So, I don't know this process very well at all, should I be past the Received status 6 days short of a month being in that status? Does it just sit in Received until grades are ready, or is this saying they haven't even started the grading process yet?

Can confirm, just got a package of Exhibits back from SGC at Standard Price. I do like how the market assumes this (I did until I had some worthy of sending and actually looked), kind of gives them a slight premium once encapsulated.

Can confirm. I placed several orders with SGC for exhibit sized cards. Price is the same.

Graded ???

27th business day so far now.

They need to change their promoted TAT again. This time to 30+ business days. SMH.
BGS and CGC seem to be the Go-to now.

I slipped in a 6 Card 80s/90s special just under the wire.

Submitted: 03-31-25
Received: 04-09-25
Graded: 05-06-25

Finally hit grading today, just under 20 business days from "received" even though it was delivered before then, aka or over a month in real time.

Even though it's better than PSA, this new SGC turnaround sucks.

That's brutal. My last PSA 80s/90s order took 9 weeks door to door thru a submitter.
