Was going to metaphysically throw a rock @my Vizio if Buffalo settled for the fg.

Good on McDermott for finally learning his lesson. Other teams need to take notice. You have a 0.00% chance if you play safe football against the Chiefs and give Mahomes the final possession in a one score game.

Go big or go home. Because you would have went home anyways.

Look at dak and mayfield situations. Instead of paying for a dak or Purdy, can you go out and find the next baker? Maybe take a flyer on Mac jones or Justin fields.

Not a fan of overpaying quarterbacks today.

How much of a discount you talking? I believe last I looked the 16th highest paid QB (because there's 32 teams) makes $40m a year. Purdy currently makes about $1m.

You think he, his agent, and his family are going to leave 10s of millions of dollars a year on the table because San Francisco is a pretty city on the bay, and he likes the fan base?

Dak is making $60m a year and what on earth has he done to deserve that money except have his contract be next in line after a bunch of guys signed $50m a year contracts.

Maybe Purdy will be happy with $10m a year, just a few million short of backup QB pay per year, but I doubt it.

That might be the only thing keeping him from bailing.

Good lord. This is where football fans are in 2024.

LOL infinity.
Exactly, they look at it like it's fantasy football. The 49ers scheme is to pound the rock, play defense, and throw when you need to. With that plan, no QB is ever going to throw for big yards every week.

Plus how many plays today did Purdy make with his legs- plays that resulted in keeping drives alive, plays that a lot of other QBs couldn't make.

I would pay Mac Jones not to be on my team.

Razor is a box score hater.

Injuries are never accounted for.

He's good enough to get max with another team. Those being the most needy off the top of my head. Would behoove SF to find a way to save even a few mil to fill out the rest if he is willing to but don't blame him if he does not. Isn't he still making under 1mm/yr?

There are many more examples- Hello Trevor Lawrence. Talk about guys not earning money.
Purdy led his team to 2 championships in a row and was a play away from a SB win.

Mac Jones is barely backup caliber. Justin should get another shot to start next year though

Trevor is 9th QBR this year surrounded by the worst roster in the league. His absence proved the payday.

It's cool to see people liking Baker Mayfield and Justin Fields now.

And he has brought his team to how many championships in a row? 1? 2? Oh that's right, Zero

That's not how it works. Not everyone is blessed to have Trent Baalke who used a 2nd round pick this year on Maason Smith for example (who is a scratch each week).

Gabe Davis
Arik Armstead
Mitchell Morse
Devin Duvernay
Ronald Darby

Massive FA haul.

Excuses, excuses. Everybody plays the hand they are dealt. We could also say one was the 1st overall pick in the draft and one was the last- Lawrence should be FAR SUPERIOR based on that detail.

Brock Purdy QB rating by year:
2022- 107
2023-113
2024- 95

Lawrence QB rating by yr:
2021 71
2022 95
2023 88
2024 87

Lawrence has only equaled Purdy once and is far behind him overall

Purdy 12 TDs behind Lawrence in one less year on a team that runs heavy

You acting like bro is a bust. It's hilarious.

If you get sent to the worst team bound to have growing pains. If you get sent to the worst team and have an anarchist as GM it makes it harder.

Here's a point= his contract is more valuable than Prescott and it doesn't kick in until 2026.

Enjoy the high horse my guy, life in the NFL is quick. Happy for Bo to have a great start to his career!

Did I miss the part where Lawrence had the best LT, the best TE, 2 of the top 10 WRs and the best RB in the league?

Now post defense and OL rankings each year
I'll wait

There is a whole Trevor Lawrence thread and a lot of debate this past week about if he's a bust. You may want to see what people have to say

I don't need to. 2 dif sides of the ball. One is flat out way more effective with the ball than the other. THE END.
I feel like I am breaking the news once again to a Giants fan that Daniel Jones is awful. Now that person knows I was correct (not saying Lawrence is that bad but he ain't great)
