The season is officially going now. I got my first Card of the Month card today. I like the choice. I figured they'd go with Wander for sure (Acuna was my dark horse pick), but Arraez is deserving and less likely to pop up in the program again. It's a simple gimmick, but the program is one of my favorite things Topps does as I forget about it and it always arrives as a little surprise. I ended up with two Arraez cards and am not sure if I'll have two each month or if this is a one-time deal. There were multiple glitches processing it this year so who knows? If anyone missed out and wants to swap for it (and future ones if I keep getting two), I'll swap for Topps Now cards I don't have of a player I like (i.e. most of them).

That was crazy that they missed his debut day, especially given the performance! I wonder if they were waffling because they needed time to consider doing the "Call Up" insignia instead of the rookie shield? That would be a bummer.

Moments galore last night!

At Camden Yards, Orioles Outfielder, Cedric Mullins became the seventh player in team history to hit for the cycle! He did it with a single in the third inning, a triple in the fifth, a double in the seventh and then a homer to right field in the bottom of the eighth. Mullins took the field before the rest of his teammates for the top of the ninth and received a standing ovation from an appreciative Camden crowd. Baltimore would go on to win the game 6-3- improving to a 25-13 record on the season.

We are offering an on-card autograph for Cedric Mullins hitting for the cycle! Same here. One of them had a really bad crease down the middle. Really surprised that passed through inspection.

64.99 seems like a good deal for any Topps Now auto given the ability to use discounts.
On another note/question, I got a couple of nice parallels today (one of Baty /49 and a Will Levis /49) and it continued a tradition of me getting parallels when I buy two or three cards but never when I buy a five pack or in a bundle. I don't think I've ever gotten one in a bundle. Is this just luck of the draw (very likely), or is there some advantage to buying cards as singles or just a couple over the five packs or bundles? I need to start tracking this a little more regularly but I don't buy enough to get substantial amounts of data quickly.

According to Topps (we asked the Now team in person), pure luck of the draw. Ordering [x] base cards will give you the same chance at parallels no matter how many line items and/or separate orders those base cards are spread across. Parallels are assigned by the computer and it treats every individual base card the same, whether it's alone, in a multi-pack, or in the daily bundle.

I'm guessing it is just coincidence/small sample size that is causing me to be superstitious.

Did anyone on here own these 2017 Judge cards (16/25 or 89/99)? Fanatics has added signed Topps Now cards for Judge (2017) and Harper (2022). And I'm wondering if they're doing buybacks or tapping the Topps vault.

It was short lived as his mouth couldn't cash in as the Yankees won the Division last year in the Rogers Centre.

I like these new rivalries the Yankees are getting into. The Boston rivalry is old and stale especially with them in last place two years in a row.

If they pack the unsigned cards for the athlete in order by rarity, and the athlete then signs them in the order they come out of the box, that would mean they're signing the 1/1 either first (with a brand new marker that may not be working well yet) or last (with a marker that could be running dry). They should pack the lowest-numbered ones in the middle of the box... (Or maybe that isn't really what the process generally looks like anyway, in which case who the hell knows...)
