On the 11th, this package was still sitting in the regional processing center after 3 days. I sent the tracking number to the buyer, so he could see what was going on. I put in a postal inquiry and asked that they send me email updates when the package moved. On the 13th, I received an email that the package was "in transit", aren't they all. Finally on the 15th, I received an email update that the package would deliver on the 16th, which it did. It took 9 days to arrive, which is becoming the norm. I had one recently that took 22 days, had to file a missing mail claim on that one. Anyway, I thought I had done all I could to get the package to the buyer. Then he posted this feedback, "12/17/2020 Negative Very slow shipping." Evidently he never checked the tracking at USPS, but I really think he doesn't care after checking his feedback report.

Positive Feedback Left 4 57.1%
Neutral Feedback Left 0 0.0%
Negative Feedback Left 3 42.9%
Paid Fixed Price Orders 18 100.0%

I sent Max a message about it, including tracking number, so he could check it. Max thinks the customer is always right, so he won't change the feedback. Heck, Sportlots allows customers to file a "Not received" issue after 10 days. With all the USPS problems, I believe there will be more issues and bad feedback.
Needless to say this customer joined many others on my "Omit List".
I'd try having Max ask the buyer to reconsider. I got a negative removed that way.

Text of message below:

"Sportlots boxes has been very successful! Many of you have taken full advantage of the
shipping savings you can realize with this option.

However, due to the success, we have filled up our office space. We will be moving to a larger
space in the spring, but in the meantime, I need to provide an incentive to cash out in
order to make some room to hold us over until then.

If you request shipment of your box orders by Midnight (CST) Sunday, December 20th, I will credit your
Sportlots account a minimum of 15% off your box shipping charges. So for example, if you currently
need to pay $25.00 to have your box items shipped to you, if you pay by the deadline, I will credit your account
a minimum of $3.75 into your Sportlots account after we pack up and ship your items. Could be more if
the actual shipping costs are lower than what you paid.

Also, if you currently have items "En Route", we will be processing all of the seller packages we have in
the office yet tonight and complete by Saturday (12/19) by 5pm (CST). After that point, you will know that
all of the orders from sellers that we have in the office has been processed for the rest of the weekend.

Let me know if you have any questions!

** PS.. Since the Packers are playing Saturday night, we have a lot of time available on Sunday to fill
box orders, so if you plan on taking advantage of this 15% rebate, please try to do this prior to noon
on Sunday if possible! Any payments made by Noon on Sunday will have their packages shipped on
Monday.

Thanks"
Is this deal for everyone or just people in the states?

A quick question for anyone who knows. After you have withdrawn your $599.00 max via check and request future withdrawals go to paypal, are there paypal fees incurred? My guess is yes, but the wording on the site says that standard paypal fees "may" apply. If they always apply the word may should be removed. Thanks

No idea, but if it helps you look for it the subject of the message in my COMC inbox was "[AN-4756084]Sportlots Boxes Office is FULL!".

Not the best title for a special offer message...

Since they are working today to get these out and are likely expecting queries about it, I'd try sending them a message asking. Good chance they'll see it today and reply - and even if they don't if they still need space they may offer you a deal anyway.

Also worth noting that I had over a thousand cards in my box, so as well as a domestic/international split they could have been targeting the owners of the boxes that were taking up the most space.

I had a thousand cards too but I ship every 2-3 weeks. Maybe there just trying to get stuff moving that has been sitting there a little longer. Or all the boxes he's been selling lately.

Been a few rough cards come in lately that were marked NM. I guess that's risk you run when there aren't pictures but still. One person did refund me a dollar with the card so that was very nice.

Nah not you. It's really only when they have creases that it sucks. I try to stay away from cards with creases. I usually don't even neg people because the cards usually aren't expensive for that.

Default NM cards

I ordered 59 NM cards from a seller so I could finish up a set. About a dozen of the cards were creased, or stained on the front, or had writing on the front. He gave me a refund of a buck or so, but I'm not going to give him a neg for a dozen 18 cent cards.

With that being said, it is a pain, because now I need to go back and order these cards from another seller, pay for shipping, and wait for the package to arrive.

The other side of it is, where else can I get NM 1986 Topps football commons for 18 cents? With Sportlots, the good greatly outweighs the minor problems.

Definitely. Sportlots has helped me so much with my set building. I only wish I had found it sooner.

Cliff:

Same here - I appreciate all of your orders and try and classify the cards appropriately. Really hesitant on putting older cards out there as not everyone has the same condition views/expectations.

Happy New Year!

I feel like I may be doing Sportslot wrong. I've had 4-5 sales since starting my store early December with not much to show for it. After shipping/packaging costs I've barely made any profit. I'm not trying to get rich, just curious what I can do better. I price everything at or below the lowest current sale price and I think my shipping and loot values are in line.

Here is a summary of your payment details:

Payment Category Amount
Card Fixed Sales $4.10
Card Fixed Postage $7.75
Card Fixed Fees $3.93
Transaction Fee $0.00
Credits $0.00
Payment total $7.92

How many total cards do you have for sale? Most people don't turn on sales until they have like 5,000 cards listed.

I have 2530 listed, hesitant to add more but I guess that's a good start.
