Personally I'd sell the base. But for me it's because i'd be keeping the Blue for myself. Blue is perfect for Jays cards. But if you're not keeping either long term i'd move the one that yields the biggest percentage profit at this point.

I'm looking to get in on the hype! I currently see on Ebay a '16 Bowman Chrome Prospects #BCP55 PSA 10 for $123...fair price? I realize it's worth whatever someone is willing to pay, i just want to make sure i'm getting a fair deal. Thanks!

$123 is a high price.

$123 is about four blasters of 2016 Bowman

in those four blasters, you'd be hard pressed to get something better then that VJ PSA 10

the choice is yours

You can get a 2014 Mookie Betts Bowman Chrome PSA 10 non-Auto for AND and a 2010 Bowman Chrome Manny Machado PSA 10 non-Auto for $123. I'd say wait on Vlad. He will come back down to Earth about a month after his callup. If you think he's going to be better than these 2 guys combined, you're crazy.

Machado 2010 Chrome PSA 10 is selling $85-$90

That’s not what I’m saying. You said that Vlad won’t be as good as machado and Betts combined. machado and Betts combined is the best baseball player of all time. Hence it at least being $350+. Vlad doesn’t have to be them combined to outsell those two cards combined. That’s where your logic is flawed.

By this logic, chrome Trout's should be going for around $100. He's good, but not better than both combined. Each individually, yes.

Ok, so "combined" was probably not the correct word. I should have just said that expecting him to be far better than either is crazy. Look at what has happened to Acuna prices in the last month -- and he's not even playing that bad. My point was, you can buy both of these guys for the same price as 1 Guerrero and he is much more likely to not be as good as either of them.

Plus, he plays for Toronto. He would have to be better than Betts to get to the to get to Betts prices. He's not a 5-tool superstar and he plays in a small-ish market in baseball terms. His prices are insane right now -- they are 100% potential. Even if he becomes a perennial All-Star, the value of that card is likely to be cut in half.

LOL. He's not. The next Trout is likely not born yet. Prospecting is mostly about buying a guy before he becomes anything and then profiting on that gamble.

Buying a guys first chrome non-auto for more than what established superstars go for is a fool's errand and FOMO at it's worst.
