Not P2020, but a new shipping issue:

A lot of people told me that it wasn't Topps fault when they had all the shipping issues with P2020. I said it then, and I'll keep saying it: Topps always has "unforeseen circumstances" that cause myriad shipping and quality issues. Yes, the pandemic was a big issue. Yes, they sold way more than they were expecting. But giving them a pass isn't warranted since they always find a way to screw it up. Even though they're shipping quicker now, they can't seem to send the right cards in the correct quantities and they're jumping all over the place.

I'm only buying aftermarket P2020 cards so that I don't have to deal with Topps. I buy companion cards to support these artists. Call them money-hungry or talk about the lost resale value all you want, I'm going to buy direct and support them because Topps can't / isn't willing to.

Okay, now end rant.

I’m shocked that 5 of 6 cards I received this week have near-perfect centering. This Ichiro has no room for error. So, I can’t criticize Topps... this week. Until next week, when they send a pink Blake Griffey instead of my pink Fucci Griffey.
