Posting this and instantly putting up 400 should be a bannable offense

Couldn’t let you get me on Sunday for the 2nd time this year. Was worried with the P’s you were rolling out today.

Playoff update - Congrats to Corner and Todder for both clinching playoff spots this week. Starting at the top - Dbacks knocking me off last week means he's now in sole possession of the #2 seed and a first round bye. I believe I still hold the tiebreaker between us though, so if I can even our records in the last 2 weeks, I can reclaim the bye. The only other team potentially still in the running for a bye is Corner who would need to win out while Dbacks loses out to bring it to a tiebreaker. There is a lot of matchups at the top of the standings in the final 2 weeks, so seeding is very much still up in the air

Dbacks: Todder, Corner
Hollywood: Corner, Bosox
Corner: Hollywood, Dbacks

Next up, while Todder can't move up to a bye slot, he does clinch a playoff spot this week following a win last week that moves him to 10-8. Silver sits 1 game behind him at 9-9, but the trio of 7-10 teams all lost last week meaning none of them can catch Todder anymore

With Silver also winning alongside the 7-10 teams all dropping to 7-11, Silver has a high likelihood at clinching the final playoff spot. A Silver win in either of the final 2 weeks allows him to clinch, while any loss for a 7-11 team eliminates that team individually. Looking close, actually only Pcarl and Chris are still in contention among the 7-11 teams. The third is Yanks who lost both matchups against Silver this year, so should Yanks win two while Silver loses two, Silver still holds the tiebreaker. Pcarl and Chris both need to win two while Silver loses two, forcing tiebreakers which are still up in the air. Pcarl's road is very difficult though, as he has a must-win against #1 seed Bosox this week, who has lost just once this year. Pcarl needs to pull that one out, have Chris knock off Silver this week, and then beat Silver himself next week and hope he scores enough points to win the tiebreaker. Chris, on the other hand, needs to beat Silver this week, take care of business against Ray next week, and get some help from Pcarl beating Silver next week, before tiebreakers come into play. All in all, Silver has a pretty high likelihood of earning the final playoff spot, but there are still a lot of ways it could get interesting

Great write up. Thanks for doing that.

8 days ago I was up 4 points going into the last day of an important head to head matchup with playoff implications. I had already scored over 300 for the week, had two starters going against one, and just needed to stay the course.

I ended up having a negative output, and followed that up with one of my worst weeks this past week. Wasn’t in the cards for me this year, but definitely glad to see the improvement year over year on my team. Best to luck to everyone else for the end of the year.

So neither guys has been added to their roster and the 7 days has passed does the new rule kick in now?

Its probably time if there has been no action.

Prospects exceeding eligibility: Once a prospect exceeds eligibility limits, they must be promoted to MLB rosters or dropped. The owner of the prospect has 7 days following notice of ineligibility to decide what to do. If they do not take action within those 7 days, the prospect is dropped from the prospect roster and then offered to each owner's MLB team in order of reverse current standings (win/loss record as first sort, then points scored as second sort). If no teams choose to add that prospect, they become a normal free agent.

On a less discouraging note for the playoff bound teams..........930 Pitchers now on the IL for me. Every....single.....year.

Sigh, yes, time to handle. We'll do it the way is laid out in the OP. In the offseason though I'd like to revisit, I think. It seems to me like the true problem is members ghosting their team (that includes abandoning in ESPN, and/or not being reachable through BO for important things like this). And when that is a problem is when owners should be replaced at the end of the year, IMO. But if we make that the rule, also making them forfeit the prospect over limits is just hurting the future owner that we eventually replace them with. So I think we should maybe revisit that

But for now we go with what we have. The order for claiming, based off reverse current standings, with fewest total points as tiebreaker, would be:

1. Bshea <skip>
2. Alex
3. Ray
4. Yanks
5. Pcarl
6. Todder

I don't think either will make it past 6 so I'll stop there

To add one layer of complexity... our rules don't explicitly dictate how to handle this if multiple prospects become available at the same time. The options would either be using the above order, a team could claim both, or waiver style where they get to pick one and then it moves on to next in line. The latter seems more equitable to me, but with how it's written now technically I would interpret it to say a team could get both. Don't really like that though

Getting both seems a little unfair but because I am next in line, which makes my opinion inherently biased, I won't say any more. Alex can do whatever he wants. If he even responds. I will say if he doesn't take both or even if he takes neither I will only be taking one.

I thought of that....and I agree with the sentiment that 2 at once isnt the most fair....but I also think what would happen if it was a week apart.....might need a slight tweak to the rule in the off season. Assuming Alex is still leaving I would in this case prefer he claim both, because it makes his team more desirable for the next owner. I was hoping we wouldnt run into this again......especially after last years debacle. We need to start looking into owner activity. I get the baseball season is long...and if you are out its a drag....but its 30 seconds a morning to maintain a roster.

PMed the 6 on the list above the following. I can't imagine either player will get past #6, but if they do I'll PM the rest and extend the deadline, just thought I'd save on some PM space

------

Hey guys - bshea and yanks had prospects that are over limits that they have neglected to add, so are now fair game to be claimed in the following order below

Players available: Oneil Cruz, Edward Cabrera

Claim order:
1. Bshea <skipped>
2. Alex
3. Ray
4. Yanks <skipped>
5. Pcarl
6. Todder

I think it's most fair to limit claims to 1 player per team, i.e. the highest team on this list can't automatically get both. We will address this further in the offseason and patch the rule. You can submit a request for both, but you can only get one added, if that makes sense. I.e. Ray can tell me he wants either player, but also needs to tell me his preferential order. This is roughly how waivers work, for example

If you would like to submit a claim on either, please PM me or post in our thread by 5pm CST on Sunday evening. The moves will be made at that point. This can process earlier if the highest priority teams get back to me before 5pm Sunday, that is just the cutoff for how long we'll wait if we hear from, for example #3 and #6 on the list right away but not #2 and #5

Any questions, please let me know

And yes I do want to freshen things up with some new owners this offseason. It's been especially notable this year

Somehow I mixed up the order when I was posting above. The correct claim order should be (posting the full 12 this time with record and points tiebreaker for absolute clarity):

1. Bshea <skipped> 5-13 (4331)
2. Alex 5-13 (4467)
3. Ray (4663)
4. Yanks <skipped> 7-11 (5136)
5. Pcarl 7-11 (5228)
6. Chris 7-11 (5343)
7. Silver 9-9
8. Todder 10-8
9. Corner 11-7
10. Hollywood 12-6
11. Dbacks 13-5
12. Bosox 17-1

I think I must have been looking at fewest total points when I originally put Todder in at #6. There are two sets of 3 teams with the same record so I was bouncing back and forth between that and total points. So the only change to the top 6 is Todder is bumped back to 8 and Chris moves up to 6

With that said, we already have claims for both players from multiple top 5 teams here, so this error will not effect anything. Still waiting for the 5pm deadline to hear if any more high claims come in yet

Should I go ahead and drop someone and you will put them on my team or do I do it myself after you give the go ahead when it's time?

Got away with the pitching injuries last week….not this week. Only 8 total starts. Going to lose. Crappy. Does look like i’ll get guys back for the playoffs though.

Final playoffs update. Starting top down- No movement for Bosox who was already locked in to the #1 seed. Behind him, though, a Hollywood win paired with a Dbacks loss moves them back to 13-6 each, with Hollywood back into the #2 position and in hold of the valuable first round bye. Hollywood can clinch that bye with either a win himself, or a Dbacks loss. Hollywood also keeps it if he and Dbacks have the same outcome in their matchups this week. Dbacks needs a win plus a Hollywood loss to reclaim the #2 seed. Both teams have quality matchups this week, as Hollywood faces off against #1 Bosox while Dbacks has #5 Corner

Corner losing last week eliminates him from a backdoor path to a bye. He was the only other team that still had a path to finishing in the top 2. Todder had already clinched a playoff slot, but with a win paired with Corner's loss, jumps over Corner and currently sits at the #4 seed

And, Silver's win last week means that he has clinched a playoff spot as well, so our playoff field is set! Congrats to the qualifiers. Silver actually holds tiebreakers against both Todder and Corner, so Silver has the opportunity to move up as high as #4 if he wins and both Todder and Corner lose this week

Final day of the regular season! Perhaps selfishly, but there are 2 key close matchups to keep an eye on as Dbacks and I continue to wrestle for the second bye. I am currently about 15 points back on Bosox, while Dbacks is up 15 on Corner. If Dbacks holds onto the win and I'm unable to come back, Dbacks will get the bye. If it plays out any other way, it'll go to me

Oof, after the Giants game goes final and Rodon gets credited for his QS, I will be up by 1 single point over Bosox. Then the matchup comes down to my Trea Turner vs his Josh Bell, Juan Soto, Craig Kimbrel, and potentially another Jose Ramirez at bat or two. Not feeling too good at the moment. Dbacks is going to win his matchup so I need to somehow stay on top in mine to get that bye

Currently up by 1 point... Bosox now has Soto on first and Bell at the plate in the same game, and JoRam due up in bottom 10, plus Craig Kimbrel still in the bullpen. Unless the Dodgers score some more runs and get Trea to the plate again, I'm probably done for the night. That Trea pop out with runners on 2nd and 3rd hurt
