Dual sticker autos is a negative. Plus what is up with all that funky speckled discoloration and smudging/dots all over the back of the card? I hope that's on the magnetic and not the actual card

That's just part of the card design. Other Dynamic Duals are the same. I don't think it's a negative when the other player is Trout.

Set, sticker, aesthetic value, signature. There's a Topps Fire dual that's a sticker but a really good looking one that ends today. I caught the bug and have been looking for another after buying mine in June, but cannot pull the trigger on a sticker one. The Ohtanieffect. He comes up as a pinch hitter in The top of the 7th to cheers and was Immediately intentionally walked to the boos of the fans. Yes the Dodgers are in a dogfight with the Giants, but that shows who the FANS want to see.

Plus the Dodegrs were up by a bunch yesterday. Same thing happened when he played the Twins in minnesota, he got IBB and the fans booed.

The Angels are testing out the AAA lineup right now, so dont expect him to get much in the way of pitches to hit.

Interesting Atomic BC Auto ending today. 2 9.5s and a 10 but an 8.5 on centering. The front is perfectly centered but the back is off which is what sparked the 8.5. PSA allows up to 70/30 back centering to still get a 10 and the back looks better. Could be a normally impossible BGS 9 to a 10 cross

Yeah - I don't think you want someone to look at that auto again. I think you are more likely to get a 9 auto on it (if they do such a thing) than you are a bump due to the centering. I'd say the front is off T-B, too (which would lead to the back - but maybe less dramatically).

No one else was n baseball makes me stop and watch an ab. He is good for baseball but I think there is starting to be a bias toward him by clubs, especially when leading by a lot. I thought about going to a ranger game because of him and him alone. No other player in the league would cause me to go to see such a terrible team.

I don't know unfortunately, haven't been to a Tigers game in many years.

He's talking about crossing it. PSA doesn't care what the auto looks like. Worst auto ever can still 10 if the card is in good shape.

Angels are making a conscious effort to have Shohei's starts at home (it seems due to the boost it provides in stadium revenue)

I agree. He fills the seats. Ill never forget once in 2018, after he was taken out in the 7th, about 90% of the fans left. Still happens now but now not so many fans leave, maybe 30-40% leave

Definitely got a deal. In example #1,274 of how Ohtani's 2018 market differs from guys like Acuna and Soto: Ohtani's paper base parallels and Chrome color refractors are the height of his flagship image. He has no autos with the #700/#150 image, unlike Acuna, Soto, Torres, Devers, Meadows, Buehler, Flaherty, basically any other rookie from 2018 Topps. They all have auto versions of their Flagship/Chrome image. Ohtani doesn't.

With the 1/1 being sold recently and presumably not going anywhere anytime soon, the best cards of Ohtani's RC image are Sapphire and Orange/Gold refractors. When you think about it that way, they're selling for peanuts.

Does anyone know if Ohtani autos were live in any of the following 2018 products? (Sometimes it's mixed so only interested in whether or not live ones were possible at all.)

Bowman blasters
Bowman retail
Bowman Chrome hobby
Bowman Chrome choice
Topps Chrome hobby and jumbo

I know live auto cards were in heritage hobby and bowman hobby and bowman jumbo but the five products above i am unsure about. TIA!
