The OMA actually isnt bad.

The images of Jeter are his last game at Fenway with two rookie images on each side. My small gripes are the signature (wish it was his rookie signature) and the decision to make him Joker- think the #2 or K would work better here.

I don’t like that the Jeter is based very little off his original Topps card, but I do like the ingenuity and creativity from OMA in it. That alone has made it one of the more tempting OMA cards to purchase.

I feel like OMA would be amazing as a guy managing image variations for Flagship. This has been beaten to a dead horse, but most OMA cards would belong in Archives. That being said, this is a genuinely nice change of pace simply because it’s different and obscure. I like it!

The Jeter card might be the greatest card in the set so far based on the extremely polarizing response to it. People are reminding me of the responses around page 2 or 3 of this thread. I LOVE IT!!!!

Just got in Chang Trout, Naturel Trout, Shore Thomas... 0 autos. I REPEAT, NO AUTOGRAPHS.

Congrats to the lucky few who get them. I still haven't heard/seen any.

I'm sure they exist. Somewhere. Maybe.

Also got Mattingly OMA in too. My OMA set is complete as of the Jeter purchase this week. That includes two autos and an AP of his too.

I like how page 2025 is shaping up! I do agree that the Jeter card would have been a lot better just by using a 2 instead of the J, but I like the card. And no borders so we don't need to worry about Topps killing the centering again on an OMA card.

Is this a serious question? It gets hard to tell on this thread sometimes.

The card in and of itself is fine. Several of OMA cards are fine in and of themselves. They are not re-imagined versions of the rookie cards. Might as well put an entirely different player on there. I imagine Derek Jeter's rookie was of Patrick Mahomes. Is that right?

Guess you don't collect many other cards huh its Topps they screw up on centering just as bad on cards without borders. It's just not as noticeable for some.

I've stopped buying from Topps for this reason. I now only buy cards on ebay from sellers showing actual card for sale. And luckily I've paid less then MSRP for all of them. But I'd gladly pay more for centered cards

I put together a 1986 fleer basketball set, so I'm well aware of centering issues. For this reason, I do think there MAY be a market for some graded Project 2020 cards.

And yes, I agree with you that buying when you can see the actual card is the way to go. Could be part of the reason for lower PRs honestly.
