Point being, Vides Brett is undoubtedly a worse looking and less interesting card than Naturel Mo, and in a perfect world, it's PR should reflect that. But it doesn't.

Frankly, PR is probably overanalyzed, but there haven't been many storylines to follow in this Project recently, so there isn't much better to do.

Outside of the players mentioned the next set of names id look at would be Mays- Grotesk
McGwire- Vides, Grotesk
Thomas- Vides

People will want card 400 and probably the other last few. There's no logic to it so why bother looking.

Rochester's Rivera will be nice. Thiele's Rivera is nice if he uses the one we have all seen, but chances are he won't. Ermsy and Efdot will be fine. Siff can doodle wikipedia stats and maybe draw a sandman somewhere which his fans will like. My money for lowest PR would be on Grotesk.

In all fairness to TBP, lots of folks dislike OMA and Vides. And I say that as an OMA fan. I dislike Vides as well, but also dislike some of the more popular artists. No one likes every artist in the set.

I just did the math and 70-80% of my entire P2020 collection isn't in hand yet. That's probably making me more down than I should be.

Thiele is one of the few artists to where I can look at most of his cards for sustained periods of time, and in that each time I look, there's something I didn't notice previously. The one thing that we all know about Thiele is that he agonizes over every card he does, to the point of choosing final cards that some of us dislike more than previous versions. Have to respect his effort though. He will never be accused of mailing it in.

This is it for me. Not factoring research, it appears some artists take 3 hours to make a card while others take 30. Thiele is clearly in the latter group.

I actually love the look of most cards. I think it terms of look it will go down as one of the best looking sets ever. But if 98% of the cards in 5 years are worth $3-$40 this sets legacy will be the biggest tank of any card set in history. If I could go back and wasn't allowed to resell I would have loved to of just bought 1 of each card to have the whole set.

I'm mad I'm an idiot and pissed away $10k. I literally spent hours opening boxes from Topps from the last couple weeks the other night to just confirm I will not get a 1/1. The time it is going to take me to sell everything I'd almost be better off putting it all out by the dumpster. It will probably take me hundreds of hours and I'll be lucky to break even. If I had any brains when Topps canceled my Finest Flashback order for no reason I should have demanded they cancel all my Project 2020 orders that weren't shipped They gave boxes to members with zero orders of their account. I bought $8-10k in Project cards in a couple months and they canceled my 2 box order for no reason. At least it got me to pretty much stop buying these cards since then. Only bought a couple. So Topps cost themselves thousands more they would have been getting from me. Same as Walmart did canceling my Prizm preorders.

If you watch the interview he did with Blake, he changed his medium. The first set were water colors. I forget what he said he switched to, but they're more vibrant now.

Rochester explained to Blake that he went away from the water colors to a new style, and that is when the cards started really looking great

I was a collector only or mostly from the mid 90s until 2-3 years ago. See how much cards have skyrocketed? I can't afford to be a collector anymore. I take home less than $40k a year after taxes. There was a point I was spending more than I was making to collect. If I ever win the lottery or am worth millions I'll start collecting again. I love cards! But for the average person it can't be a hobby or hobby only anymore.

you have to zig when others are zagging. i will admit it is more difficult now then it ever has been though

collecting is still very possible, but if one is into the "hot things", then yea its costly
