I think they're best looking of all the 2013 Ohtani Japanese cards. Also extremely unlikely to have been picked through if you care about grading them. Here's the pop report on them, it's F2A Foil and F2B Foil. Only 57 total graded of either

I would feel so much better about Ohtani's odds if BBases wasn't calling him a lock. He's like Mush from A Bronx Tale.

Maybe I will be able to find some deals now that Ohtani is going through a little bit of a slump and he won't be playing much the next few games vs the Dodgers.

Hoping some rest days here over the weekend can give the man a breather and allow him to work on some mechanics at the plate. Looks tentative, swinging at bad pitches, not swinging at pitches in the box. We all saw what one day off did for him last time, so maybe three days off will be a blessing. Except maybe a pinch hit walk off homer on Sunday

Very low pop for 10's. Pop 4 for the batting and pop 7 for the pitching. Guy was asking $300 BIN for the pitching a few years ago and wouldn't budge on the price. I already had the batting so I pulled the trigger and remember thinking "This is a bad idea..."

Not surprising at all. The vast majority of people put more emphasis on the HR ball than pitching.

As an owner I'll take it!

The BC Pitching is iconic given what it did at launch. But looking at recent sales, the hitting is the one to get it appears.

The subgrades were much better on hitting one. 3 9.5s and a 10. Pitching had 3 9.5s and a 9. Had to have played a big role

I'm sure the grades played a role in the discrepancy. The pitching is basically a PSA 9 going up against the True Gem+ on the hitting. Speaks well about how iconic the pitching is.

I had no interest in picking one of these up. They seemed like they were everywhere and they are "only" SPs. Then I realized that was the exact same logic I used for not picking up any Acuna or Soto SPs from this set back when they were cheap. Between that and the PSA drought we're entering I figured I'd better grab one while they're cheap just to cover my arse.
