I loved it!

And I can't figure out what the hell they're doing with Roman. When was the last time he actually won? At one point, recently, he's an unbeatable tribal chief. Now he can't win a match. WTF?

Got to figure every wrestler who's single and probably a few married ones have gone after her.

Well, Finn Balor dated her, but after that, she hasn't dated anyone she works with.

Roman literally just beat Reed like a month ago.

I hope they're building to a true Roman redemption arc. He became a face while going up against Solo but he never really repented for how he used to treat the rest of the Bloodline.

Throwback to what he wore like 20 years ago in his early TNA days.

The biggest knock on Cena has always been he knows only a handful of moves, so I'm fine with him borrowing from others - except the tombstone. That should never be used as a setup for his AA, because IMO it cheapens it. Nice to see Styles do some borrowing as well.

Did anyone catch the crowd singing Edge's theme song to Triple-H during the post show? Very unlikely, but I'd like him to be Cena's last opponent.

Y’all gotta give up this dream, he’s literally signed to AEW, what has any of the relationship between AEW-WWE made people believe this is even a 5% possibility? Is it the little digs they take at each other any chance they get? Maybe them counter-programming each other hoping to hurt the others viewership.

Pass on a washed up Edge. We have seen enough of the past greatest hits. His last match is said to be Gunther. I rather pass on that as Gunther already retired Goldberg. Rather have Dom or Bron get the match as both could use beating Cena to push them up into the WWE title picture.

Yeah, I don't get the Edge talk at all. I am a fan, but not only is he under contract, he's in the middle of his own career sunset with his best friend.

Isn't his contract up before SNME though?

Personally, I think they're going to make Gunther the opponent, I wouldn't prefer that, but I'm sure the match would be good. I think Dom vs Cena is the match, he's going to be a MUCH bigger star than Gunther ever will and the rub will help him more now, too.

Some places say October of this year, some say early 2026, I have no idea which is right.

I firmly believe he's going to stay with Christian regardless of his contract status anyway though. I can't imagine he wants to be the side character in someone else's retirement story over wrapping up his career with Christian.

I would enjoy the match if it wasn't Cena's last (and if it's actually possible, which none of us know). I think the last match has to give somebody a rub. (Dirty Dom!)

I could EASILY see him doing a one-off appearance as "EDGE" and then going back to AEW.

Problem I have with Gunther being Cena's last opponent is he needs to win and you know Cena isn't losing. You can't have him come back and lose his first match then push him hard going into WM for one of the main titles be it WWE or World Title. I'd rather them hold him out until Rumble and have him come out at #29 or #30 and win. There are a lot lesser guys you can feed to Cena and I still think the most sensible guy is The Miz.

If Cena's going to win, it should be against Lesnar. The extended squash makes less than no sense if Cena doesn't beat Lesnar.

I don't think many are clamoring for Gunther vs Cena. Gunther doesn't draw flies and is very overrated in the ring. His 2 best matches since joining WWE were in NXT and NXT UK last decade. I think Gunther is better on the mic than he is in the ring.

Im guessing whatever Cena's doing at Survivor Series will be built up at his 2 tv show appearances before that. So how are you going to have any story whatsoever for Cena's last match? That's another reason it has to be Lesnar or Edge. He has a story with Lesnar and obvious a huge past with Edge.

Edge debuted with AEW in October. What convoluted contract would he have that would end a few months after that? It has to be over in October or he could get out of it in October. WWE doesn't want to pay Edge long term anyway. He would come in for 1 match and could then resign with AEW.

The Miz is a laughable choice. Wait until you see ticket prices on Wednesday when they go on sale. It's going to be the highest cost face value tickets for an arena show in wrestling history. For a 1 match card. A 2 hour tv show. Every SNME card has been mediocre at best. And you want to have the only match worth seeing on the entire show have The Miz in it? Good luck with that.

Cena isn’t going to win his last match, unless when after he loses he’s bowing to the crowd and all that and then either Lesnar or Rock’s music hits and we get Cena vs one of them at Wrestlemania.

So now no Cena for a month until the two Raw's before SS and SS itself. Then off again for 2 weeks until his last match.

I wonder on those two Raw's if he will have matches or just cut promo's to build towards a SS match. I would not mind if one of those Raw's Miz comes out and gets beat by Cena in a match and after the match someone comes out to attack Cena to set up a SS match.

Not a chance. Hell if it wasn't for it being a SNME WWE would've probably scheduled the PLE to be whatever day AEW has theirs. Absolutely no reason for Tony to help them out.

Also on the side of thinking Cena needs to win his final match. Especially watching the end of his run as a face, it's been such a 180 from the awful heel run. Gotta send the people home happy one last time. Gunther has already accomplished so much beating Cena one more time will do as much for him as Brock beating him did, nothing. It'll just be a promo point he repeats for years and years to come and that's about it.

If WWE wanted to build someone new to the main event scene, I think I'd have Dom win the rumble this year.
