One could argue the OSU offense was so inept because of lots of stupid mistakes as well putting them in second and third and longs all game.

OSU and ND are the top 2 fanbases in all of college football and it's not even close. This game is going to smash records for most watched title game. Do your homework.

I'm not much of a college football watcher or knower but I was curious about these little numbers next to the schools. Does a bigger number mean a better team? They won all the games so far. Does that mean Ohio State is a lock?

Those are where the teams were seeded. Lower number = better seeding. However, please don't confuse seeding with ranking. Due to the structure of the playoffs, the top 4 seeds are generally not going to be the top 4 ranked teams.

He's gotta be too young to know the history.

Notre Dame is the only school in history to negotiate a deal where every regular season game would be on National TV....in 1991. This was before streaming and the internet and even cable for many. Back when you got 3 televised college games in an entire weekend, Notre Dame would be one of them. The fan base is insane. This game (viewership) will be insane. This is a dream title game.
