Been opening hobby and blasters last month and just starting to sort

1100 for master set on eBay. Wow

I know they are tough to make. But that is surprising number

Kyle....I still need three SP's (424, 464, 479).

If you've got those three to trade, message me and we'll work something out....

I keep seeing it at Target, even though Series 1 is nowhere to be found. So there's a wholly unscientific measurement for you.

This is the main reason I stopped buying Heritage beginning with this release. Didn't like the difficulty of completing a master set (as I have done for the past 12 or so years). Also, didn't like the changes with the "parallels". I still may attempt it if prices come down, which they basically have not (and may not).

It also all depends on how you define a master set.....you can get a (1-500) set for less than $400....so it really depends on how badly you want the various insert sets.

Me personally, a master set includes base set of 400 cards, SP set of 100 cards, and all insert sets. Insert sets up to this release were basically New Age Performers, BB and Pulp Culture Flashbacks, and Then & Now. Not sure why Topps/Fanatics changed the insert sets. Looking at the master set available on Ebay, I really don't care for the insert sets in this release. This release has basically turned Heritage into mash between Archives and Ginter. For me, I will probably just end up purchasing the set 1-500 and not rip anything. Kind of sucks...Heritage is the only product I have enjoyed opening in recent years.

Retail always sits in my area all the time....but there are literally almost 10 targets and 8 Walmarts within a 15/20 mile radius.

I’m with you. This has been unenjoyable. Fanatics has taken all the fun out of Heritage. This will be the final year I rip and build a set. Starting next year I will not rip any of it and will only purchase the set (base and SPs). I will ignore the inserts.

I’ve also kept one unopened hobby box from each year. I will no longer do that and will start selling off my unopened Heritage boxes. 25 years. It was a good run.

Had no idea of the parallel count now, wow. I quit when they (you know who) attempted to exploit us so much with “2024” HHN - which is now gathering dust on shelves and dropping in price to now down below the big 3 buy-in price. I hope some baths were taken.

I am starting to ‘clect it a little with blasters back to $30. The other day I ripped one and pulled an insert - cooool - it was celebrating Adolis Garcia having a 3 hit day in April. Talk about phoning it in. The amount of Rookie Cards for 4 career At Bat players is straight comical. And they again butchered the backs, though they do look nice on the Chrome versions with the crap s/n stamped on the front of the card.

This product used to be made by people who love Baseball Cards.

I’m late to the heritage party. I’m working on completing the set of 23 heritage and heritage high number.

My plan was to stay a year or two behind releases to get good deals on wax and fill the SP with singles. Is this a good idea? 23 heritage was very cheap over the last few months

That is a good idea for Heritage, most years. I dunno about 2025. And didn’t work for 2024, a year when Fanatics aced the print run / demand equation very well.

The Big 3 came out at $1300 for hobby cases and many of us said that would be a great price depending on the minis, so people started buying it and they continued to re-up it higher and higher until the price got out of control. "They" didn't exploit buyers. Buyers exploited them by grabbing as much as they could while prices were lower and mini details weren't yet released.

I don't see anyone below $1550 at the moment so this needs to drop another $250 to even get to initial pre-sell price. Obviously the buy-in was well below $1300 if they were willing to start it there. You can be mad, but at least be honest about what happened to pricing. Nobody took a bath.
