I'm sorry to hear that. I think I have 2 complete sets from my case.

I have to double check that though and I'm too tired to do that tonight.

I don't know how many sets I'll get from my case-plus, but I am pulling numbers 1-99 about one third as much as 100-200. My ratio is even worse than last year.

I’d say Hobby Case #1 was a success

I had 4 or more boxes that were exclusively 101-200 base. Biggest extreme is 7 base to 1. Inserts not much better, had 3 or 4 of the same one

Some better pictures of a few of the nicer cards.

All pictures have been put in the box break section.

What is especially frustrating is that even looking at just my low numbers (1-99), I got 10 of some guys and 2 of others. I must confess my brothers I am having a BUC crisis of faith.

As for pulls, my most noteworthy ones were a Brady Cook auto /10 and a Lagway Big Kahuna auto /50.

BUC collation represents the greatest test of the true believer. We must realize that BUC intends that we engage in the communal act of trading and exchange to achieve the rapture of a complete set.

I did notice the same thing while I was able to make sets. The collation is nowhere close to being evenly distributed.

Congrats on the Lagway and Klubnik! Those can certainly help make up for the base issues.

Now, the question is sell it or send it in for a PSA 10?

Ok, sounds after sorting and pictures from a case of Hobby and a case of delights. Here are a few observations.

- A handful of names seem to be at a premium

- From approximately 864 base cards, only completing two sets is kind of tragic. But alas, it is what it is.

-Non base autos come out at roughly 1 per box for hobby and 2 per delight box.

- The black/white, and black/gold stealth look awesome in hand. These may be my favorite parallels this year.

- Lots of skill position players this year. I feel like there is a heavier lean towards these type of players(this could just be in my head).

-no after-school specials in my two cases but I did hit 3 big kahuna's and 1 BK auto(Riley leonard)

-Collation is certainly an issue with base cards. However, autos and parallels seem to have a nice mix without a ton of dupes.

-The design is certainly growing on me. It lends to some very nice looking cards in parallels.

-Condition appears to me to be pretty solid. I only had to throw out 3 packs worth of base cards due to damaged corners.

- price to rip will be a major factor. Please look around and find some solid deals. No need to pay 250+ for jumbos or breakers delight. There are plenty of options out there.

These are just a few things I have noticed. I'm sure others have differing opinions and experiences.

I know I'll be ripping some more of the next few weeks.

Good luck everyone!

Well spoken BUC Sensei. Well spoken indeed!

BUC Brother Fenway, let me know what's missing in your checklist. I would be glad to send what I have from duplicates.

Last year the collation all evened itself out, but you had to get cases from both runs of production (which I somehow did). Half the cases were heavy in 1-100, half were heavy in 101-200. Clearly they haven't fixed that but I'm guessing the same deal will occur this year. It's impossible to know which is which though if considering buying more.

Condition much better than last year on base cards. Noticed less pitting and dimples. Some refractors had scratches but that's to be expected

My Hobby case had 14/24 autos that were color or insert, very nice

Collation was awful. That has been a Fanatics issue in baseball products also

My case had 2 Kahuna, 1 SP (refractor and card number began with SP-3 to avoid confusion) and an After School Special

Inserts way too dupey. Did not complete any of the sets and had 4 of some players.

Early grade is a B+ for me. There are some sneaky good players that have a lot of room to grow between now and NFL Draft time

Much appreciated, but I do have a complete set of base cards. I was just frustrated that I have, for example, 10 Dane Key (#50) and only 2 Dani Dennis-Sutton (#51).

I will, however, be posting a WTB thread in a few days to complete my refractor set so you'll certainly hear from me around then
