That's a pretty big slice off the bottom of the Magic Johnson. Seems like that's something that COULD be done with the paper cutter Evan purchased on Ebay.

Evan, serious question for you: Is there any card valued at $100 or less that you didn't trim?

That, or he has a greatly exaggerated sense of self-worth or ego that he's extending to the value of his own cards.

Yes, this seems the most reasonable.

I feel like I’m missing something obvious here, these are two different serial numbers. How does this show it’s trimmed?

I was referring to him creating an account named 3124508onCOMC and moving the card to that account, not whatever he has it priced it at.

Ah, but the pricing is pretty ridiculous as well.

Perhaps the COMC mods won't take too kindly to the name he chose.

But on a related note, I'm not sensing a lot of maturity here...

3124508 was showing the card he labelled in red "Raw Sample" as an untrimmed example to compare with the trimmed PSA 10. Measuring top to bottom (with the card positioned horizontally), the PSA 10 with serial number 372 is much shorter than the raw card with serial number 301.

You can see how much has been taken off the Slabbed one. Look how much closer the serial number is to the bottom of the card or the NBA logo to the bottom.

Well, it appears Mr. Mathis's stay on Blowout is over. The ban hammer has been swung:

I'm curious why. I was really enjoying his additions to this thread.

I like how Arthur is acting like Evan’s hype man, regardless of how weak the troll comeback was.

This PSA 10 Carlton Fisk is really the definition a franken-card. If you really study the photos, you can see that the card was pressed to increase stock area and then haphazardly trimmed back to create lots of partial edge and corner shaves to sharpen the corners. As a result the card doesn't really have any straight edges left, yet still receives a PSA 10. The last two photos are the best as they show the cards overlaid with a red outline that has a constant position. This outline shows how the left and top edges have been trimmed while the bottom right corner area has been pressed out to sharpen the corner.

That Fisk is INSANE!

HOUDINI - can you enlighten us as to the Ban? I think it's important for the community to know why he was banned.

Dang! Over a 10k gain. You might be able to squeeze a few hands of poker with that
type of gain.

And Idol, and I think SSI, and PWCC and all the other ones. That's what makes me think the ban wasn't related to his confirmed trimming.

He did take back a member’s trimmed card last week via BO so I’ll give him that. I wish he wasn’t still trimming cards, but what are you going to do?

BNC was banned after the basketball board fought for his removal.

SSI was banned after he was found to have a second username. He also had his friend Iceman1982 troll the board.

Not sure why Mathis was banned.

I'm going to spam Rovell's twitter with this news. What better way to tie this whole fiasco together than an ex pro athlete. He's going to eat it up like John Goodman at the Golden Corral. An espn segment would be glorious.

I suggest ya'll do too.
