Anyone that thought the Nets had any kind of chance was kidding themselves. They got lucky and caught fire, that's it. Expect the rest of the series to be a breeze. And of course Simmons was gonna play better and get his triple double. He too damn good not too.

Sure they will.

Other than Golden State, everyone is going to eat $*** at some point in the playoffs.

Think of all the flack LeBron got when they got blown out by 34 against Indy in Game 6 of the first round last year.

-Simmons came out with a fire tonight.

-Why was Embiid out there up almost 30 late in the 3rd?

-Nets are still losing this series...and so will Orlando.

I love Ben Simmons. My favorite player. Now I just need to find and delete all those mean things I said two days ago.

You know it was a great night for Philly when my guy Greg Monroe is cashing a 3 at the end of a blowout.

Ben Simmons haters legit have no idea how good he is NOW, much less how great he will be in a couple years. He hit that little 8-10' turnaround tonight.

So did Brett Brown just tell Zhaire he was gonna give Ennis his floor time tonight? Not that it mattered either way but shocked Zhaire didn't get burn tonite for obvious reasons. Or maybe Zhaire had a minor muscle pull or something in warmups?

It's not like they have to be 26' Steph Curry wet rainbows, 15' would make Ben a top 5-10 player in the NBA.

Also, young players improve their jumpers over time. See: Johnson, Earvin and Kidd, Jason and Jordan, Michael.

It seems like basic ignorance of NBA history to think his won't get better over time.

I do think the actual haters aren’t aware of how good he is. He makes jaw-dropping plays on a regular basis. I think is only obstacle is himself. He just led the 76ers to a dominant road playoff win without Embiid... not too bad.

Just saw this now. 2 things:

1. Do his in-game shots look anything like the shots you're talking about in practice/pregame?
2. Why doesn't he take them in the games?

A bench clearing win on the road with no JoJo.

Yep.

This roster is still clearly flawed. The best you looked all series was without Embiid out there (yes, I know he is healthy). Too many times you have guys doing nothing out there while he ISO’s.

Best bet is to either get rid of Embiid or Simmons as they clearly can’t work together long-term, or bring one of the big 4 off of the bench and let them dominate.

Problem is Brett Brown and Brand are clueless, so I see neither happening.

Nonetheless, y’all dominated us the last two games. Game 4 should be rocking - Nets won’t go down without a fight.

He doesn't take 3s in games so impossible to know. But he has made 16-18 3s in a row in practice, I've seen him. Yes, it's only practice.

Not a clue. Maybe he figures with JJ and Tobias and Mike Scott and Ennis that simply being an amazing passer and defender and rebounder and going 9-11 in the halfcourt is good enough?

Why would you wanting shooting 26% from outside like Giannis instead of getting Tobias and JJ open shots so they can make 11 3s? Would that really make him a better player *today*? Honest question.

Congrats on the worst take I've seen on the Sixers in two years.

The best they looked all season was in Q3 in game 2 when they crushed the Nets with Embiid dominating, or when Embiid put up 40/15/6 in a road win at Milwaukee, or when they went into GSW and won and JoJo had 26/20/5.

The Sixers are +18.6 net rating with starters on the floor, by far the highest in the NBA. That 6 pts higher than GSW with Boogie.

Most of the times JoJo is on the court they run DHOs, Floppy, or Flex, with some PnR & Spain PnR thrown in. You clearly have no idea how the 76ers run their O.

Except for maybe the Brand part - but he's not the real GM of the team anyway, he's just the public face.

A Ben Simmons that is even the slimmest of a threat to shoot makes the team better. Giannis numbers suck from three. But because he is willing to take shots from the outside, it opens things up. Marcus Smart is a similar guy. Having a poor outside shot is better than not being willing to take an outside shot. What do you consider a "better player"? If it's on the stat sheet alone, just let him not improve at all jumper wise until he retires, because his FG% is very efficient as is.

You brought up Kidd and MJ. LeBron is one I've heard as guys who improved their jumper over time. The difference is they improved their shots by shooting. Simmons doesn't shoot. The fact that we're talking about him hitting shots during pregame says enough.
