He's tricking us. He says 18 so everyone tries to hack his account assuming it is 18 letters when it's really only 16...and it's numbers, not letters.

So I got an email from BO today saying an IP address was banned for 15 minutes for failing a proper log in.

I changed my password to an extremely difficult one, but do I now contact mods with the IP addy?

If so, which one?

I got the same message, but it was from IP address 188.138.9.49
Coming from an old, non-tech guy, what does this mean? Why would someone want to get into my blowout account?

its most likley a spam bot.

If they can hack an account, then they can mass spam it. One or two successful spam's could result in large returns for them.

I got an email on the 16th saying someone tried logging into my account with the following IP address 109.163.234.5 I'm not real sure what they were trying to accomplish but apparently they failed.

I was hit last night. IP was from the Netherlands as well. I changed my password last night, but was still getting hit this morning. Finally was able to get in with a random password sent by Blowout.

I haven't used SCF in over a year so I knew it was a random email
