I don't know how I feel, Devonta has 0 autos in the product as a rookie expected to show up next year. On the other hand, Julio Jones has like 10 autos, Topps sure is killing the Julio+Roddy Dual Booklets though.

Five Star is great for Autograph hunters. On-Card, great design, solid checklist. NT has the great patches and sub sets. NT sells better, both in wax and on the secondary market for singles. NT just seems to be the more desirable among the masses.

Wow, very disappointed in the dual patch book checklist. Only 3 cards I saw are vet-only (Le'Veon/Charles, Alshon/Forte, Julio/Roddy), and they're not exactly top-tier. I guess I should've tempered my expectations considering baseball products are like 10% rookies while football is 80-90%. But that cut sig checklist is crazy...

I'll definitely still buy some, but glad I didn't preorder because I don't see many vet inclusions to chase other than the cuts.

I still think it's weird that they slightly vary the Golden Graph/Silver Sigs checklists, like they did in baseball. Can't you have a player sign both types? At least limit it to one or two parallels, not 6 and actually inflate the print run.

Main targets are these quad-books, and makes me want to pick up one of the baseball ones (Griffey/Ripken/Gwynn/Thomas):

by the look of the Five Star checklist, there will only be really one card to pursue, will get the Bortles rpa of course... might chase the shield auto if I can get it for the right price (kicking myself for missing the immaculate...) but otherwise saving the money for NT

They are, but in the past a lot of the inserts were on card too. Like freethrow I was very surprised to see the Davonte Adams and Kadeem Carey stickers. Sucks.

It doesn't really make sense to have them in the product with both on-card and stickers, but could it possibly have saved them money?

I'm not really sure how the agreements/contracts work with the players and signing, but I'd venture a guess that on-card ones cost more for the manufacturer?
