I saw that movie when it was re-released in 3D. I came to the conclusion that some movies are better remembered than relived. The play was fantastic though, could not recommend that enough.

I think I might be the only person in the world that would list Avatar for their A movie

No, it's not the "best" but it's one of my favorite movies of all time and thus likely would take the spot for me, at least if you count Infinity War for I and not A for Avengers: Infinity War.

Yes, I know the storyline is anything but groundbreaking, but the visuals were revolutionary. Avatar in IMAX 3D is by far my favorite movie going experience ever, only thing that comes remotely close for me is Avatar 2 The Way of Water. Already looking forward to doing a double feature of both of them in IMAX 3D again when they inevitably re-release them before the 3rd one comes out (like they did with Avatar a month or so before Way of Water released).

Saw Way of Water four times in IMAX 3D, and while I don't remember how many times I saw the original since it was so long ago, I know it was at least 3-4 times originally and then another few times during re-releases they've done over the years.

I'm a sucker for the theater experience to begin with, but those movies are just next level when viewed in IMAX 3D. You forget that you're watching something that is entirely digitally created and/or motion capture. For me it's 3+ hours of being in awe, literally realized I was just smiling multiple times for no reason other than how happy I was with the wonder of the underwater scenes in the new one.

I've never had to watch any other sci fi or superhero movie and need to remind myself that what I'm seeing isn't a real thing that is being filmed, they're good, but not THAT good.
